We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. Thank you Almighty God for showing us what true Love means and helping us to love one another and be Christ like. Without Jesus we will be nothing, but with Jesus our future is bright. As we walk through the valley of the shadows of death we know that we don’t walk alone but with You holding our right hand. We don’t have to fear because of Your perfect Love, help us in our daily walk with you, in Jesus Name. Amen.

In this time of isolation and separation from the world and looking at things that I can fill my day with, nothing could complete me for I kept wanting more and looking around for more but then “I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help. But then I realize that our true help and protection come only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth. Psalms 121:1‭-‬2 TPT”

It is the grace of God that will help us and make us a better person. According to wiki – Grace is the help or strength given through the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. … Grace is a gift from Heavenly Father given through His Son, Jesus Christ. The Grace of God brings you to a community of people that are like you and you don’t need to hide your flaws or scares but share the testimonies with your loved ones and be healed, loved and belong to the body. Grace was given not because we deserve it but because “God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” John‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Why Grace? This week more than ever it made me realise the importance of belonging. Anything in life requires commitment, if you want to pass an exam that requires you studying through the day and forgoing things that you will do and concentrate on your study. So then, make it your top priority to live a life of peace with harmony in your relationships, eagerly seeking to strengthen and encourage one another. Romans 14:19 TPT

God has given us every tool at our disposal to be the best version of what we are meant to be through Grace. Why do we fail at getting closer to GOD? 

If we want to get closer to God, Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also]. Matthew 16:24 AMPC.

Yes if we have a closet full of dresses, clothes and no room for a new dress that needs to fit in. What do we do? We will have to make room for the new one, which means I have to get rid of the things in the closet for the new one to fit in. In order to follow Jesus we need to make room for Him. Well we need to clear everything and put Him in the centre and everything will just have to fit around Him or get rid. Sounds dramatic, yes but totally worth it. The more you pursue Him, then you let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect. Romans 12:2b ERV. 

What practical steps will I make in order to grow closer to God?

Reflect on the Love that God has shown us and how we can show that Love to others. Love is an action and a decision we take. It is a choice that God has given us. 

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans‬ ‭8:38-39‬ ‭NASB‬‬
