God passionately watches over His deep reservoir of revelation-knowledge,
but He subverts the lies of those who perverts the truth.
Proverbs 22:12

Another Monday, there is a desirable treasure that when found at a great price, you will hide it and then sell all you have just so you can have it. Is it worth it? Absolutely!

Come let us walk and talk because we need to use some of the energy, I have eaten a lot this weekend. There is a point to my madness, keep up and let us walk slow or fast but let us use the energy. And heads up, this is information only and should not be used as advice.

So my topic is about energy:

Energy we all need it: We use it everyday. Anything which is able to perform work has energy and by definition Energy is the capacity to do work.

Where does the energy come from?

Our body processes energy that is determined by the food intake and how much levels of activity are done will give the output. It is simply like a budget, the money we spend and whatever is left off is the fat stored.

Body Mass Index (BMI) is simply the weight in KG divided by the squares of your height in meters.

The brain needs more energy than anything else. If the brain doesn’t get the proper energy that it needs, that is when we become fatigued.

The food we eat plays a big part in the energy we burn out.

To function properly our brain needs the right amount and right nutrients throughout the day.

Some foods that helps the brain active and the body:

One of the most important is WATER: The brain is made up of 80% water and the body weight is water which is made up of 60% and is needed to keep our organs functioning.

It is very important to stay hydrated all day and starting with the first thing you drink in the morning. Dehydration leads to fatigue, slower reaction, dry mouth, lips and eyes; feeling thirsty. It makes your thinking slow down and not as sharp as you want when you are dehydrated.

The body also uses water to transport nutrients and oxygen around the body and it helps to maintain the core body temperature. It keeps the skin plump and elastic.

Eggs: I love eggs and they have so many nutrients for the body and also for the brain. They help memory improving and brain boosting. Good source for protein, B12, vitamin D (get some)

Walnuts: it looks like the brain so that is one way of remembering which nuts is good for the brain. They are unsaturated fat. Good source of Biotin, although nutritious may also mean very high calorie depending on the portions and what is eaten with it.

Avocados: Good source of fats and contains monounsaturated fats that are good for the heart, fibre to help regulate blood sugar, plus vitamin K, E, and C, B vitamins and potassium.

Blueberry: High in antioxidants and vitamin C

Sleep is also very important so is the diet we eat to maintain a healthy and productive routine and that includes sleeping.

What can make us not keep up with our intentions is fatigue. The energy we use if not replenish will run out.

So the brain and physical body are working overtime consciously and unconsciously driving our actions. If we are constantly working and not resting then we don’t have the motivation to carry on, it comes to a point when our unconscious will take control and switch off and that becomes a burnout. No one wants to be at that stage.

It is a battery and needs to be charge.

“ You see, when you give your body the best possible fuel, you have more energy, you are stronger, you think more quickly” ~ Michelle Obama.

Imagine your phone, you use it and behind the scene it is also working even if you are not on it. It brings all the notifications so when you ready it is accessible. And this is our brain is tirelessly working with no complaints. The phone dies, well now you panic especially if you are out and about and need it at the moment in time. What do you do?

The brain needs rest, the body needs rest. If it works overtime all the time then it will run out of battery.

We all need to switch off everyday, for “it is good” my paraphrase favorite quote from the Book of Genesis.

Ways to to keep the energy in balance:

Avoid burnout:

Like the battery, keep it charged daily by resting. Taking time off to just relax and not think of anything.

Switch off, I like my phone which is always my point of reference. The manufacturer says it is good to switch off the phone, I mean let the battery die and that keeps the battery life longer. It is true, if we constantly plug the phone to charge and not allow it to just die, then we find we need a new charge quicker than intended.

The human is not a phone or electronic so avoid draining the battery at all cost

Always keep reserves daily for it is good. Because when it is drained the consequences are high and costly.

How do we avoid it?

Nurture your relationships:

Keep the people around with you at all times, not only when you need something. They do help when you need them but it needs to be reciprocal.

In conclusion and my humble opinion of the Human Battery:

Keep it plugged in: keep that energy flowing in, having the right energy in and out.

Stay positive: get your thinking hats on, be creative and allow some spontaneous activity to yourself

Switch off – rest and sleep, play games, be a child I mean let your inner child out

Never let it drain – get help if you are below 50% energy and in need.

YOU are never alone, even when you think so. Whatever you go through, someone else has or is.

Energy in = energy out ideally any extras are stored or dispense

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
I praise God for your life
May He teach you
His way as you walk in His foot path
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

Remember,
We cannot control what happens around us,
but we can control our responses.
Be bless and know that the Lord loves you

And I also pray that this verse refreshes you this week:
'However,
I consider my life worth nothing to me;
my only aim is to finish the race and
complete the task the Lord Jesus has given
me—the task of testifying to the
good news of God’s grace. '
Acts 20:24 NIV
