Truly our God is good
He provides, it starts with Jesus and ends with Him
To those who are pure in heart
And the middle is the pursuit of our Lord

And His will over our lives
But as for me, my feet almost stumbled
My steps had nearly slipped
For I was envious of the boastful

When I saw the prosperity of the wicked
So I sit and reflect on the glory and reason 
For the word became flesh and dwell among us 
So I might have eternal life

They speak of the earthly treasures 
They set their mouth against the Heavens 
Pride serves as their necklace 
So I turned my eyes back to You 

And as I focus, I come to release that 
It is a daily process, 
It is a journey, the journey that never ends 
The more I pursue You, the more my passion grow 
To serve You with every facet of my life

You hold my right hand 
You guide me with Your counsel
You take me into Your glory
Whom have I in heaven but You?

And earth has nothing I desire besides You
Challenges do come
My flesh and my heart may fail
But God is the strength of my heart

Setbacks I have come to know 
They are a set up for the next chapter in my journey
A long journey that will require Your Love
It is indeed a marathon, so I will get thirsty
 
Those who stay far from You will perish 
For the things of the world, the water in the world, 
will only make you thirst for more
But as for me, it is good to be near God

I have made the Sovereign Lord
The Holy one, The High Priest  my refuge 
I will tell of His deeds
I will sing the Lord's praise 
For He has been good to me
