'O praise the Lord , all you nations!
Praise Him, all you people!
For His lovingkindness prevails over us
[and we triumph and overcome through Him],
And the truth of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord ! (Hallelujah!)'

Psalms 117:1-2 AMP

Hi and welcome to the vault and it is a pleasure to see you.  Could you believe it! February is already here and I hope you had a good weekend

Everyday is a blessing to be up and about. On our Sunday service, we are on a series  “Sermon of the Mount” . This Sunday was based on Matthew 5:33-48. It was beautifully preached by our pastor. As the Holy Spirit speaks through her and I listen it starts to sink into my heart what it means to turn the cheek, going the extra mile.

She asked: did Jesus want us to sit and let people abuse us?

What was the point of this and in the content of the people to which Jesus spoke at the time they understood what He was saying and to us what do we see?

Pray for your enemies!

As she continues and I listen: she was absolutely right, Yes she was right, when she questioned us or stated a fact: I believe most of us have a prayer list right? Yes.

How many of those on the list are enemies? Do we only pray for people that we love or like us. What of the ones that give us hard times, or ignore us. Do we pray for them?

I thought of my list, I do have a prayer list (to help me pray for others and be consistent) and she was right. I looked at my list in my mind, shocker no enemies on the list.

What of the Instagram person that you block? Or on facebook do you pray for them constantly? In a social media world, we have lots of enemies.

What would it be like today if 80% of everyone’s prayer list was enemies? Constantly and consistently praying for our enemies. Think about it!

And as she continues, what Jesus was showing the people?

We look and do everything in the third way:

Not as the world does

Not as we would do, seeking revenge

BUT how will Christ do it – a creative way of doing things

Not what people think but who we are and our value in Christ Jesus and so she gave a demonstration of creative way

“Turn the other cheek” – everyone in Jesus’ day uses the right hand and so when you are slapped it will be the back of the right hand because you are lower than they are and using the palm will be a defilement and or you will be an equal to them. So giving them the other cheek means they can’t use the back of the left hand. It will be NO go area but to use the palm of the right hand. That means you are an equal, in a society of slaves and masters. This was an option that will make the master think twice.

How clever was that solution?

Jesus showed them an option: They were worth more to God; They were a child of God, valuable in the Kingdom and have every right to be on earth. And so do we.

Yes I go this week with a thought,  I need to add people that are not in my circle to my prayer list

I also need to think of creative ways to solutions.

Wow! Food for thought….Come let us take a look at the vault:

Giving thanks to the Lord is always a privilege and honour

Everyday His mercies are new every morning
Everything around is telling me a story of the Lord

Come look around!

I wake up to the sound of birds singing of His glory
It is impossible to miss it, because as my lungs inhale and exhale
I know it is Him that has given me life
It is impossible to miss His glory
He has given me another chance in life
One life to make the most it and to fear Him

What a privilege?

He is an awesome and almighty God
The earth is His and everything in it
The sound of the wind this Sunday morning was strong
I hear the trees clapping and dancing
It reminds it is a new day to dance to the Lord

What is life without God?

One life is given and I must make the most of what is given
The Lord Jesus Christ has saved me
Given me a chance to follow Him and be creative
In all things and give thanks for everything

Come out with me, and look at the sky!

He came and saved me
He came and saved us from ourselves and the enemy
Lord Jesus, You came and saved me
I was broken beyond repair, nothing is impossible to You Father
You fixed me and place me in place to glorify Your Name
Yes He came and saved us

What mighty God we serve!

Let the whole earth praise His Name
Let all His saints glorify His Name forever

Thank You Father for another day
Thank You Father for the relationship we have built
with You through Christ Jesus. Amen
Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
I praise God for your life
May He teach you
His way as you walk in His foot path
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

Remember,
We cannot control what happens around us,
but we can control our responses.
Be bless and know that the Lord loves you

And I also pray that this verse refreshes you this week:
'However,
I consider my life worth nothing to me;
my only aim is to finish the race and
complete the task the Lord Jesus has given
me—the task of testifying to the
good news of God’s grace. '
Acts 20:24 NIV
