' Again Jesus spoke to them, saying,

God’s Judgement:

So my journey with the book of Judges continues, I keep saying to myself STOP 
Read something else but it does remind of myself 
I am no different but it is the Grace and Mercy that sustains me
The gift of God which is in Christ Jesus that shines 
light on the darkness that seems to be everywhere

They did evil in the sight of God 

Like having a spouse and cheating on them 
Knowing that they know what you are doing but you still do 
Shocker! 

I try in my strength yet again I failed 

Do I hide in the darkness and let it consume me?

No, the Lord calls…

And as I continue the journey, Abimelech continues his rule over Israel with a stone…

One stone kills seventy of his brothers 
One stone killed his head
Then in the book John, Jesus turned it around:

He who is without sin among you,
Let him throw a stone at her first.”
A woman is saved from death 
A woman is freed 
No one condemns you, neither do I 
Go and sin no more

A warning will come like a siren from a distance 
A call from our Lord and saviour

Lord, You are my God 
Early will I seek You
My soul thirst for You
My flesh longs for You
In the dry and thirsty land 
In the broken world 
Where there is no water 
Where there is infirmity 
Where there is nothing but sickness 
So I have looked for You in the sanctuary 
To see Your Power and Your Glory and Your lovingkindness

Yes the Book of Judges is a gripping story and not for the faint heart!
As I was reading chapter Ten: 
A warning to all, we are all susceptible to things of the world 
Sin and temptation
But take heart for our Lord Jesus Christ has overcome it all
And guess what?
You are never alone!
