The Voyage of the week!

'“Come and let us return [in repentance] to the Lord , 
For He has torn us, but He will heal us; 
He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. 
After two days He will revive us; 
On the third day He will raise us up That we may live before Him. 
So let us know and become personally acquainted with Him; 
let us press on to know and understand fully the [greatness of the] 
Lord [to honour, heed, and deeply cherish Him]. 
His appearing is prepared and is as certain as the dawn, 
And He will come to us [in salvation] like the [heavy] rain, 
Like the spring rain watering the earth.” '

Hosea 6:1-3

A view from my Kitchen window in the early morning before five am on Wednesday 29 June 2022 as I wait for the kettle to boil so I can have my hot water to drink.

The human mind is strange 
Who knows what goes on in our mind
The heart seeks what it wants 
Only the spirit and their God knows a person heart 

It’s Friday and Happy Friday and blessings to you this new month 

Hope your week was good and I pray for a better weekend

The sadness and madness of the world continues 
Charm is deceitful but beauty is passing 
Many daughters have done well 
Many daughters cry out to be heard 
Many daughters wants a little kindness 
And any woman who fears the Lord 
She shall be praise 
She will excel in all things 
And her tongue is the law of kindness 
She is full of the spirit 
And her hands contains the fruit of the spirit 
Her works are praised by others  

The madness in the world does not stop.

So as I continue in the madness of the Book of Judges. Chapter nineteen and twenty is not for the faint heart.

Ah! Could it get better or worse? Well, I was not surprised at what happened in verse nineteen? The drama and violence.

The madness continues and does it get better. No, do I close it and pack up? No, I like to read these things and see to the end. 

Nothing is new under sun 
What has happened!
Has already happened before and would be forgotten until it happens again 

Spoiler alert: When he cuts his concubine into pieces 
The body is no longer one
Israel is divided and not serving the One God but everyone was in there own bubble of deceit 
They were now serving themselves 
It might have been physically but it was a reminder 
To look at the other parts of the body that was falling into sin
They needed to come back to their God 
They needed to repent and become one 

Israel needed to come with a humble hearts 
Even when they were further away 
When they cried out 
God was always and already near to them

The Lord is good 
He is God and not man
The Holy One that dwells in our midst 
The Holy One that comes with Love and not terror

When we listen to the Lord 
He will guide our steps and lead us in the right path 
He roars like a Lion 
The Lord our God and Father of 
our Saviour Jesus Christ is good

In midst of the madness God is with us
In midst of the storm 
God hears our cries 
It might not be how we want it 
But the Lord our God is a good God

As Israel was defeated twice they finally sat down and listen 
Fasted and prayed 

This Book of Judges was packed with so many lessons:

I have learned to never “miss the mark”
Sometimes the greatest gift is not just unity but also justice 
And also the greatest fashion in town is self denial 
Covered with humility and compassion 
Above all remember your Creator before anything else
Fear God and keep His commandments
For this man’s all
Everything else is vanity 
A grasping of the wind
