The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool." The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out od Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Psalm 110:1-2

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Today is the funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II and we say our final goodbye till we meet again!
Come and welcome to the vault… Hope you had a good weekend.
My weekend was good:
On Saturday, we started our God’s Big Story – the first session (by David Devenis) an overview of the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation
Laying the foundation for what is to come. It always amazes me when we listen to The Bible, the new materials you can find.
As he talked through The Bible, I was struck by the overview of The Book of Leviticus: – it made me think about all the sacrifices and offerings that the people of Israel had to learn. I am glad we don’t need to kill any animals anymore for sacrifices.
But it is a Book to be looked at as found out from David:
Leviticus: The very taught that this was a preparation to show the people of Israel that our God is a very Holy God, never cross my mind.
The sacrifices that were made: Only the exact right sacrifice could act as an atonement for sin
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” Leviticus 17:11 Praise be to the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to the Lord Even when we sin Time and time again He made sacrifices The Lord shows us the way, the truth and life In the beginning, the Lord our God showed what sacrifices means He made tunics of skin and clothed Adam and Eve When man could not fulfils it promises He was faithful and prepared us for the biggest sacrifice of all For the Lord our God so love the world that He sacrifice His One and only Son for the atonement of our soul That we will be free That we will work in complete freedom It is good to sing praises to King of kings Who has set us free Free indeed!
As I listened and pondered about Leviticus: Another point he made was – God also gave the laws to set them apart from the other nations by introducing all sorts of dietary and hygiene laws. Why? Because the line of the Messiah was to come from the people of Israel.
What a wonderful God we serve! “And If you offer a sacrifice of a peace offering to the LORD, you shall offer it of your free will.” Leviticus 19:5 They were not under compulsion They were free to sacrifice and a choice was given The Lord our God Does Not need anything from us He is not looking to build up some points Before the foundation of the world we were chosen He Loved us before we knew Him
As we look at the laws in The Book Leviticus, one must always remember that:
“He is the Lord our God” – who has separated us from the peoples.
God is good and His mercy endures forever
Now that is a reason to smile and give thanks
At the end when David spoke: the question most people ask is What is the plan of God for my life?”. Understanding the big picture of God’s plan makes us ask that question differently. We ask, “What is my role/part to play in God’s plan to transform the world? And this has left me pondering!
And to end my weekend: On Sunday we had a lady who got baptised, as we cheered loudly and we know the cheers will be louder in Heaven.
Looking everywhere else is futile Meaningless and grasping of the wind It is in Christ Jesus we find freedom Freedom, true freedom Life is not easy but it is better to walk with the Lord Than to be in complete darkness The ways of the Lord is very different His kingship we cannot fathom His work in our lives is built from the ground up The foundation of the Lord is beautiful Every child chosen is part of that beautiful building of stones And Christ is the cornerstone The Lord is beautiful He forgives our iniquity The Lord is our God The Lord is good
