Grace and peace to you from God our Father and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Happy Friday and hope your week went well. My glass was full this week so I am definitely looking forward to the weekend and glad it is Friday 😀

What a friend we have in Jesus
Learning not to lean on my own understanding is journey

God is so good With a glass full, 
You Lord quiet my soul 
You remind me to be still and 
know that You are Lord 
You teach, strengthen and make a way 
So I can seep through to end and 
not relying only on my strength 
Thank You Father for another day 
My soul God is good and all that 
He does is good

After a weekend of thinking and praying, I continue on the journey with Paul. We enter the second half of the scroll. 

Inspired by Paul’s letter to the Corinthians: 2 Corinthians 1:5-7,

I absolutely love the way He starts the letters. I will do good to learn from Paul. His identity is found in Christ Jesus. I, Paul an apostle of Christ Jesus. I was chosen and it is okay to imitate me but your focus should always be on Christ Jesus for we are all servants of the LORD.

Gratefully praised and adored to our God 
The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ 
The Father of mercy and the God of all comfort 
Honour and glory belong to Him 
He deserves all the praise 
From the bottom of my heart

As I continue the journey, nothing is a coincidence

My dear beloved,
 
Be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might
Put on the whole armour of God
That you maybe able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil

Do not think the things of the world as strange 
Or when the fiery trials come your way as strange
Or think why me? But think why not me?
Instead hold up the shield of faith
And rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ
And take the helmet of salvation and the 
sword of the spirit which is the word of God
 
Know that you have a chance to partake of Christ 
suffering and when His Name is glorified 
you may also be glad with exceedingly joy
Yes take heart even when it is counter cultural 
Walk not in the things of evil 
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth,
having put on the breastplate of righteousness
And having strapped on your feet the gospel of peace 
in preparation to face the enemy with a firm foot stability 
and readiness produced by the good news. 

Suffer not as murderer, a thief, an evil doer, 
or as a busybody in other people’s matter, 
walk in the Lord, praying at all times

Yet if you suffer as a Christ follower 
Do not be ashamed but let God be glorified in this matter. 

"Therefore, those who are ill-treated and suffer in accordance with the will of God must [continue to] do right and commit their souls [for safe-keeping] to the faithful Creator.”
