ADVENT – FOCUS

The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, 
for you have found favor with God. Listen carefully: 
you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, 
and you shall name Him Jesus.
Luke 1:30-31 AMP

Thank You Father that wisdom starts
With asking You, and You give to all 
No judgement or reproach 

Today, I listen  to You and 
not on my own understanding
For You are a shield to all 
Who works in integrity 

For it was when Jesus came 
The NIGHT, THAT NIGHT, it changed the world 
The Shepherds were the first 
to know and worship You Lord

That night shows us what the Kingdom of God is like
It shows us that Your wisdom is different 
Doesn’t required money, power or fame 
To get the work done

Forgive me for losing the focus 
And not adjusting the camera
For every picture taken
the same lens is used 

Help me to always readjust the lens of the camera
Because every scene requires a different focal point
And I need to adjust my aperture 
To ensure the view is not blur or out of focus

Thank You for reminding me 
In the season of celebrating 
The Little things matters to You
The ones that are forgotten, lonely and away from society
Are Your heart.
Help me to adjust in every situation
And to be part of it 
In Jesus Name, Amen

Children can be a joy!

A little story about a girl and boy!

Kids are so funny and innocent
Walking behind these two kids boy and girl 
And their mothers right with them

The kids decided to race one other 
The boy won and the girl 
burst out crying for losing

I taught it was funny, so I slowed my walking
The joy of no headphone
You notice everything around you...

Back to the mum... 
Then the girl's mum called her to the side
Honey in life we don’t have to win all the time
And when you lose you don’t have to cry..
Understand? Yes mummy

Now be a good girl and go play
So what did this girl do...
She was determined to try and win
Very brave little girl left the mum and 
Called the friend to race again 

Not giving the friend a chance to win 
Running off before the boy had a chance to say yes 
She was screaming I won, I won...
The boy didn’t seem to care much for running again

So when he got close to her ...
They were best friends again
Playing and laughing and not a
Thought of what had just happened

That made me smile and forget about
Work and everything else. 
I should be more childlike
Free and throw a tantrum now again

Thank you Father for the gift of children 
O Lord I will Praise You
You are Worthy, O Lord 
To receive Glory and Honour and Power
For You have created all things
And by Your will they exist 
and were created
Through Christ Jesus we can come to you
Amen

Happy Holidays!!

Glory to God in the highest
And on Earth Peace
Goodwill toward everyone

Lord God thank You for the past months
It is NOT perfect but 
You are with us
so that makes it perfect

As we celebrate the 
Birth of Christ and looking at the 
Advent, 2020 means something to all
What it means to me right now is
Father, You have made a way 

John the Baptist showed us 
What making a way was like 
In the darkest of time
Christ was born

The first of many miracles happen 
on that day it revealed 
the glory of the Name of Jesus
Lord on that very night that Christ was born
You did it, no home to lie His head 
But You showed us that our ways of Kingship 
And Your ways is different 

You provided the manger for Him to sleep 
And that was the right place and different  
The angels to proclaim to the shepherds 
The good news
The shepherds to be the first to see 
The main Shepard in His glory.

He was the main Shepard and the Saviour
In the fields He was born
With the sheep and 
Humble He came, as a servant 
In Your kingdom it is different 

This year You have made a way 
A provision because You knew 
That this was not going to be easy 
For a lot of us

Isolation is not part of the Kingdom of God
Togetherness, celebration and forgiveness 
Is one of the many qualities You have provided

The internet has brought this to the house of many 
who would have been left alone and away
from the society as a whole 
This has made more people come together

It is different not ideal but 
better than nothing
We are more connected than ever before 
This shows that You knew
what was needed before it happened

Thank You Father 
Jehovah Jerah
For giving us the light
Jesus our light 
Let us take with us the light to those 
Who sit in the darkness and the shadow of death
Guide our feet into the way of peace

Walk-Praise to The Good Shepherd

From him shall come the cornerstone,

As the day seems to get shorter
by 4pm it is already dark
Today a lazy day,
Father thank You for waking me up

As I set out of the house 
It was very freezing, in my opinion 
So today I decided to do some 
Christmas shopping, leaving it late yes
Don’t like the shopping prefer online 
Wanted to stretch my legs so 
“Killing two birds with one stone”

Lord God, thank You for the promises 
that You made and fulfilled 
It is in Christ we have a strong foundation 

The key of the house of David 
You lay on His shoulder 
So He came and open the doors to You 
And no one can shut that door
And when He shuts the door, 
No one shall open.

The Good Shepherd 
The way, the truth and the life 
We come to You to worship You
Thank You for always looking for the one

No matter the costs
His mercy endures forever

Walk and Worship

“I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; 
You have given me wisdom and might, 
And have now made known to me what we asked of You, 
For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”

As I open my eyes, thank You 
Father for giving me another.

It is the first Sunday of December 
And we are meeting 
In the Church with mask and all 
Lord thank you that I get to worship 
You with others not that the YouTube is 
Not great, it is just different with others around.

Together we worship You,
Something was different this time
I was singing from the heart and my mind 
was focused on the words as wearing masks
means voice on the inside of my head
So it silent all other taughts

As I went for a walk to meditate on 
Your word that I have heard
The word on spiritual gifts 
What a wonderful God You are 
To consider Your servant and give me a gift

Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
Your hands have made me 
And fashioned me, give me 
Understanding that I may learn 
Your commandments

You are good, and do good 
Teach me Your status 
I pray that Your merciful 
kindness be for my comfort

Blessed be the Lord my Rock 
Who has given me the feet to walk
The mind to think and discern
My lovingkindness and my fortress
My High tower and my deliverer
Praise the Lord, O my soul
While I live I will praise the Lord.

Thank You Father for another day to see
Your glory and the rock that I lean on
Solid, unshakable and everlasting
You never fade away or move 

With this I lay my head down 
Thinking that it might be an ordinary day
But it was a good day to give You thanks
If I could not think of anything to 
Say to You then thank You for waking me up.

If the Lord wills, I will see you tomorrow 
Who knows what God has in store for you and I
