“Treasure Trove of Information”

'He who is slow to anger is better and more honourable than the mighty [soldier], And he who rules and controls his own spirit, than he who captures a city. '

Proverbs 16:32 AMP
No one knows about tomorrow
Why worry about it
Tomorrow will have it own trouble

The two things we cannot change
Yesterday what happened has happened
We can learn and move on

Tomorrow is not yet arrived
Why worry about it
When we cannot do anything about it

We can look at today and do something about today
Live in the present and spend time with our loved ones

Happy Monday! Hope you had a good weekend and a blessed week ahead. My weekend started on Friday as I met with two of the girls and we went to “Puttshack – mini golf”. It was so much more fun than expected and I lost the game.

On Saturday, I went for my run, and did 7.76 miles around the streets of London and it rained on the way home. It was fun!

On Sunday was Mother’s Day as we listened to a real life story of Anna Spafford: The journey of a woman who went through the storms of life….

After some minutes had passed, Anna began to calm herself, and think through her loss. She became more quiet, but still wept. “God gave me my four little daughters,” she said. “It is He who has taken them from me. He will make me understand and accept His will.” … found this online.

As we sang the song in church and it gives hope to my soul. We are all in this together. Life needs hope otherwise the heart gets sick.

Inspiration from the words of the song, and singing to my soul...
It is well with my soul…
It is well with my soul
In sickness and in health
It is well with my soul
It is well with my soul

The Lord gives and the Lord takes
The Lord will make me understand and accept His will
It is well with my soul
My faith grows each day with the Lord
As He rolls over the clouds and let the sun shine
It is well with my soul
It is well with my soul

Whatever the world throws at us
The Lord is our shield and exceedingly great reward
It is well with our soul
It is well with our soul

For nothing can separate us from the love of God
Through Christ Jesus
It is well with my soul
It is well with my soul

Welcome to the vault, follow me. The world we live in, very interesting. I was looking around and found this superfood!

Superfood has no clear definition but it is a marketing term for food claimed to be high in beneficial substances and low in unhealthy ones, and that can help improve health, combat diseases or both. This is not commonly used by experts, dietitians and nutrition scientists.

Some of the most popular superfood also include genuine ones as well as some unproven ones:

“Blueberries – high in antioxidants and Vitamin C” the first to be labelled as a superfood and widely used. Five thousand new products were introduced in 2005 based on berries alone. Figure that out!

Green tea – boosts metabolic rate (untrue); lowers cholesterol (limited supporting evidence); lowers blood pressure (some evidence that it may have a small effect); reduces risk of certain cancers (unproven).

Linseed – High in Omega-3 fats; high in soluble fibre.

Chia – Helps with weight loss (unproven); high in soluble fibre and protein; high in omega-3 fats

Garlic – Lowers blood pressure (limited supporting evidence); reduce cholesterol (true but only small reduction); protects against some cancers (limited supporting evidence)

Kale – high in iron and calcium; high in vitamin C and K; high in folate, helps to prevent or slow some age related vision problems.

Almonds – contain unsaturated fats that are good for the heart, high in fibre; high in antioxidants; high in vitamin B and E; high in minerals.

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
I praise God for your life
May He teach you
His way as you walk in His foot path
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

BLESSED is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful

Psalm 1:1

As I listen to the Book of Psalms and medicate on the word

The Book of Law
The Words of our Father through
Christ Jesus that is true to the flesh
Blessed indeed bless is the man
Not the intelligent
Not the rich, not the poor
But the man

The man that delights in the word of the Lord
The man that walks in the way of the righteous
The man that builds his house upon the Rock
The man that abides in the Lord Jesus Christ

Blessed is he
He shall bear fruit in its season

Welcome and come into the vault, the treasures awaits us. It is good to know what we can get from food and what the body can manufacture. Fascinating!

This week I am in Dubai visiting a friend. My weekend was travelling from London to Amsterdam and then Dubai. Hope you had an eventful weekend. I am excited to be away and just relax.

Come let us take a look:

Omega-3  and Omega-6:

Most fatty acids that we require can be produced in the body except for omega-3 and omega-6. These are known as essential fatty acids and have to be obtained from food.

Omega-3 are derived from the alpha-linolenic acid and Omega-6 is derived from linoleic acid. Both are vitality important for the function of the body cardiovascular, reproductive, immune and nervous systems. They are involved and important for the manufacture and repair of cell membranes enabling them to function properly

Some sources of Omega-3:

Salmon, mackerel, Trout, sardines, whitebait, herrings, wheat germ, nuts, Walnuts, Walnuts oil, Pumpkin seeds, Rapeseed oil, and soya beans,

Only small amounts are needed to keep the body healthy. UK recommendation 450 mg/d, 3g a week and can be met with 1-2 portions of oily fish a week

Diets that do not include fish or eggs will be low in the omega 3 long chain fatty acids DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic).

Plant foods contain an omega 3 fatty acids called alpha linolenic acid (ALA) which can get converted to EPA and DHA in our bodies but this process is not very efficient.

Good sources of ALA include flaxseeds, chia seeds, walnuts and soy. It is also possible to supplement a vegan diet with EPA and DHA from algae.

Omega-6: are also essential in the diet – they enable skin and cell membranes to function healthily and should be eaten in moderation

Omega-6 occurs in nuts, sunflower seeds and oils and  wheat germs

Children should have two portions of fish a week, one of which should be oily. Oily fish such as salmon contain omega-3 fatty acids which are beneficial for brain and eye development.

Although fresh tuna is an oily fish, when it is canned the amount of long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids is reduced to low levels and it is no longer considered an oily fish. The oil that is lost is often collected, refined and re-enters the food supply as fish oil capsules. Canned tuna is still a good source of protein.

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

“Treasure Trove of Information”

The punishment you brought me through was the
best thing that could have happened to me,
for it taught me your ways.'

Psalms 119:71
Edited in Prisma app with Hunter

Hi and welcome to the vault, another week has started. Hope you had a good weekend. Come! Come in and let’s get into the vault.

Grace and Peace to you and Peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

This weekend, the message was the same: FAITH, truly we all need faith.

In the early hours of Sunday morning as I listened to a message it was about suffering.

I have never understood much clearly what James 1:2
Count it pure joy when you fall into various trials

Yes, Joy in trials is not something I have ever understood
So I ponder on the words and let it flow into my heart
The words of Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of coins of gold and silver
Your Hands has made and designed me
Give me understanding that I will learn Your ways
And walk the path You have created for me
In Jesus Name, amen.

And as I got to church the sermon was: Dare to believe

The God that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.

Dare to believe in the God of Abraham, the God of the living: The Bible says: It is impossible to please God without faith. I let that sink into my heart.

One thing I did take away from the preaching is Humility: In everything be humble to know that it is not just you that God is working through. Just because I don’t see it doesn’t mean that God is not working.

We are His people and that means everyone gets to take part in His Kingdom.

After church I met up with a friend: And she said today in church we talked about suffering and faith

And I ponder on the words: FAITH and suffering

Yes the enemy promises many things
The world promises many things

But Jesus promises eternal life
Jesus the living water
In Him alone:
I am never alone
I have peace that surpasses all understanding
I get to take a deep breath in all situation
And let it go
I have freedom and nothing to prove
I am loved
I am know
Because my God is I AM

Yes, this weekend was about faith and faith pleases GOD and I want to please GOD

That means when the door is open: I get to walk through it by faith.

When the opportunities come and yes I will be scared but it is by faith I step into the unknown. If I fail then a lesson is learned and never wasted.

So this week: As Paul spoke to Timothy it is still relevant to us today. Fan the flame of gifts that God has given you and do not be ashamed of the testimony about God.

'For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid,
but gives us power, love and self-discipline. '
2 Timothy 1:7 NIV

Come, follow me. Last week, what a week in the U.K. politics. I tell you they need all the prayers.

Anyway, glad you are here and thank you for listening to my weekend. We are not here to talk about politics but I do like listening and also watching football. Every Sunday if I can I will watch “Match of the day” and “Sunday with Laura” before church. My team is not playing so well but they did well not to lose, a draw is better than losing. Guess I am glad 🙂

I was looking at my finances and today I have tips on finances: The cost of living is rising each day. Energy, food and living expenses are all going up and everyone is feeling it:

Ways that you can  reduce the stress and something I have learned over the years.

Every penny counts:

If you can save £5 per week off your bill then you can save £250 a year: Is it EASY, no! But it is durable. This funds can then be use towards paying off debts or towards any saving goals.

Ways to save money and also help save the environment:

Wasting less not only saves money but also helps towards the environment in a positive way.

  1. Start a budget:
  • A great way to save money and avoid wasting food
  • Create a realistic budget and it is fine to add luxury items as long as you are spending within your means
  1. Plan your meals
  • Batch cooking and freezing when necessary
  • Check the expiry dates: can they be frozen or eaten first?
  • If you don’t plan on eating anything soon, can you freeze it?
  • Check which ingredient you need before going to the shop: create a shopping list
  • Have a plan on why you are buying all the items – even snacks. This will prevent buying more than you need

“TIP: Never go food shopping on an empty stomach”

  1. Think of where and when you will shop
  • Shopping less can help you think more carefully what and how to save money
  • Once a week if possible in one shop or several small shops (remember every little penny counts)
  • Plan and budget before stepping out and stick with the budget – not easy but durable with practice.
  • Try and shop at the right shop for you that also fits your budget and have the type of food you want.

TIP – Batch cooking and freezing food will help you save money and preserve food. Also it helps when you don’t have time to cook, guess what you have ready made meal. But remember to unfreeze them 🙂

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
I praise God for your life

Amen

'Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom.
Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgement.
Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life.
If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit.
If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer. '

Proverbs 9:10-12

Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord

Hope you had a good weekend. Saturday was my niece’s fifth year birthday. And we went ice skating, well I was watching from the sides. Kids have no fear in them. It was a joy to watch them fall and get up and carry on. I was more worried about breaking any bones and needed a professional next to me instead. It was a wonderful Saturday to watch her and friend play along. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Come along, before we head into the books of nutrition. I was challenged about the lies we believe in our lives. On Sunday we were looking at Luke and it was about demons and an unforeseen world that exists.

“Listen to the truth Jesus speaks”

I tell you the truth if you say to this mountain to move it will move

The mountains in our lives have already been defeated; they are not permanent.

Looking and listening at Mark 11:20-24: I saw a different version

Jesus offers a choice –

The Lord our God and Saviour is our Shepherd
Why call Him Lord, Lord and yet not obey Him?
For He has laid the table in front of us
Wisdom always calls us to the table

Let the faith of our Lord and Saviour dwell richly in you
For it is impossible to please our God if we don’t have any faith
If we don’t believe that He exists then there is no love
Without love then the earth is meaningless
And words are reduced to hollow sounds
Of nothing more than a clanging cymbal

So my eyes will look upon the Lord
Maker of Heaven and Earth
He restores my soul
It is only in the Lord my God
That I walk in righteousness
For His Name sake

For His thoughts towards us are good
The Lord our God has bless us with every spiritual blessing
In Heavenly places in Christ Jesus
The Spirit of the Lord is upon us
To bring good news to the poor
To heal the brokenhearted
To give us freedom
To move the mountains in our lives and loved ones

The Lord loves us His chosen people
To walk in holiness and without blame before Him
In love

Yes the Lord is good to all
Instead of shame, you shall have double honour
And no confusion in the House of the Lord
Everlasting Joy is in The House of the Lord

I will rejoice on my Saviour
My soul shall be joyful in my God

The vault calls, come let’s get in and see what we have. Last Sunday’s Marathon inspired me to look at my study books on nutrition for fitness.

Whether you are a competitive runner or you simply enjoy running for fitness, eating a healthy diet will help you run faster and longer.

Carbohydrate should be the main driver for a runner’s diet, because they are the fuel for workouts and promote muscle recovery

Take a note – some carbohydrate deliver great nutritional value than others

Think Potatoes not potato chips… make the most of the carbohydrate with whole grains, fruits and vegetables

During an endurance run, keep in mind two main causes of fatigue and try to combat them before the race. Depletion of carbohydrate stores and hydration can end the race.

Filling the glycogen before the race will delay fatigue.  As a bonus, the run will be easier to complete if you have enough glycogen on board.

Ensure that each day your daily diet contains 5-7g Carbohydrate/kg of body weight will speed the recovery from daily runs.

Secondly, before each run, being hydrated is very important if you want to put in a good performance.

Make a point to drink 5-7ml of fluid/kg of body weight approximately four hours before exercise. This gives a chance for the body to excrete what you don’t need before you begin the exercise.

During training, keep an eye on the water intake if running longer than sixty minutes. There are no rules on how much water intake needed as that depends on how much fluid you lose through sweat. “Practise a drinking strategy in training” train yourself on what will be used on the day for a bigger run like half marathon or full marathon.

Be extra diligent in hot and humid weather.

Try to vary the choices of fresh fruit and vegetables as much as possible according to what is in season as this will give you a greater range of micronutrients, antioxidants and phytonutrients.  – this is true whether for training or not.

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

“Treasure Trove of Information”

'No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs,
but rather tries to please his commanding officer.
Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive
the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules.
The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.
Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this. '

2 Timothy 2:4-7

Always reflect on the Word of the LORD, for indeed He gives insight when you least expect it.

Welcome and hope you had a blessed weekend.  It is so good to see you 🙂

I thank God whom I serve
I am always learning something new about God
I am also learning about people around me
Above all I am also learning about myself
It is blessing to be blessed and to also bless others

Take the day as it comes, because everyday has its own troubles and His mercy is NEW each day.

Each day, with the Father,
we are equipped and inspired to face that day.
In His loving mercy,
I am corrected
In His Grace,
I am convicted and directed in the right path

Nothing I do or say is bigger than our Jesus
God with us and He calls us
Even when I think I am hiding
When I start to despair
Or too hard on myself
He squeezes my hand and reminds me
That He is GOD and I am His servant
Yet He calls me His friend

“Friend, I AM doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. (Matthew 20:13b-14)

I do love this parable of the Workers in the Vineyard.

It always encourages me that God is not partial
His ways are not our ways
And it is not lawful for Him to do as He wishes

He loves all His children
And each are given a gift
And at the end of the race we look forward to just one thing
Jesus the Bride
and on that day His welcome - “Well done my good and faithful servant”

As Paul will say I am in chains for the gospel and it is Christ that I preach and I will boast in Him alone.

It is encouraging to know that a few seconds christain and one with Christ their your whole life. The Father always welcome with open arms. So enter His presence every day and receive His Joy. Hold fast to the Word of God. Standing firm on the ROCK that never shakes

On Sunday,

I was again blessed with the Word of God. “The Good(ish) Kings series we looking at (2 Chronicles 26:1-23 & 2 Chroniches 27:1-9)

Thinking you know better than everyone
Is foolish
Folly I will say
It is not how you started
But how you finish matters so much.

The pleasures of the world is vanity
What does it accomplish ?
I have search around
On how to gratify my flesh
With wine, my eyes guiding my heart with wisdom
I made my own world great
I go into the gym to look great
I work so I can gratify the flesh
Yes I only look great
And all this indeed is nothing
For like the wind blows and we only hear the sound
One can never grasp it or know it direction
So the labour of the world
For it is grasping of the wind

All things must come and bow before the Lord our God

Yes, come with me to the vault. At times, things get lost in the box of magic we carry around. As I listen to a sermon, God highlights different things in my box that had gone to the bottom, hidden!

Welcome to my Treasure Trove of Information. It is no different to any other day. Both Saturday and Sunday I Listen to different pastors. The Lord’s prayer was one of the magic pencil that highlights the things that need to come out of the box

It is amazing how the Word of God can fix a problem, it not only highlights but, it does it to heal and not to shame us.

Come let have a look at forgiveness. Yes Forgiveness – the poison that we drink ourselves:

So I searched and I loved what Mayoclinic says about it.

Forgiveness means different things to different people. Generally, however, it involves a decision to let go of resentment and thoughts of revenge.

The act that hurt or offended you might always be with you, but forgiveness can lessen its grip on you and help free you from the control of the person who harmed you. Forgiveness can even lead to feelings of understanding, empathy and compassion for the one who hurt you.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing the harm done to you or making up with the person who caused the harm. Forgiveness brings a kind of peace that helps you go on with life.

And I sit and reflect, and think about what the Bible says about it. My go to:

The Lord’s Prayer came to mind And it is so true Lord forgive me as I forgive others

Without forgiveness it does leads to temptation
The door to unforgiveness opens the door for the enemy to enter
When he enters and see the house clean
Goes out and takes seven other spirit into the house
Which can be anything, hatred, jealousies,
outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, hearsies,
envy, murders, drunkness
As God highlighted Galatians five the fruits of the flesh
The curses from the enemy
Take your pick

But unforgiveness is a poison that slowly kills from the inside out

The enemy is always near looking for someone to devour.

Sin lies at the door
And its desire is for you
But you should rule over it

For the Lord our God has blessed us abundantly
From the beginning was the Word
And the Word was with God
And the Word was God
And that Word became flesh
And the Word turns darkness into light

And the Word shines so brightly
The flesh cannot comprehend it
For greater is He that is in me
than he that is in the world

For He that is in me brings new cloths to put on
the full armour of God
And also giving me the gifts of the Spirit

Lord lead me not into temptation
But deliver me from the evil one
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
I praise God for your life
