'Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom.
Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgement.
Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life.
If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit.
If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer. '

Proverbs 9:10-12

Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord

Hope you had a good weekend. Saturday was my niece’s fifth year birthday. And we went ice skating, well I was watching from the sides. Kids have no fear in them. It was a joy to watch them fall and get up and carry on. I was more worried about breaking any bones and needed a professional next to me instead. It was a wonderful Saturday to watch her and friend play along. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Come along, before we head into the books of nutrition. I was challenged about the lies we believe in our lives. On Sunday we were looking at Luke and it was about demons and an unforeseen world that exists.

“Listen to the truth Jesus speaks”

I tell you the truth if you say to this mountain to move it will move

The mountains in our lives have already been defeated; they are not permanent.

Looking and listening at Mark 11:20-24: I saw a different version

Jesus offers a choice –

The Lord our God and Saviour is our Shepherd
Why call Him Lord, Lord and yet not obey Him?
For He has laid the table in front of us
Wisdom always calls us to the table

Let the faith of our Lord and Saviour dwell richly in you
For it is impossible to please our God if we don’t have any faith
If we don’t believe that He exists then there is no love
Without love then the earth is meaningless
And words are reduced to hollow sounds
Of nothing more than a clanging cymbal

So my eyes will look upon the Lord
Maker of Heaven and Earth
He restores my soul
It is only in the Lord my God
That I walk in righteousness
For His Name sake

For His thoughts towards us are good
The Lord our God has bless us with every spiritual blessing
In Heavenly places in Christ Jesus
The Spirit of the Lord is upon us
To bring good news to the poor
To heal the brokenhearted
To give us freedom
To move the mountains in our lives and loved ones

The Lord loves us His chosen people
To walk in holiness and without blame before Him
In love

Yes the Lord is good to all
Instead of shame, you shall have double honour
And no confusion in the House of the Lord
Everlasting Joy is in The House of the Lord

I will rejoice on my Saviour
My soul shall be joyful in my God

The vault calls, come let’s get in and see what we have. Last Sunday’s Marathon inspired me to look at my study books on nutrition for fitness.

Whether you are a competitive runner or you simply enjoy running for fitness, eating a healthy diet will help you run faster and longer.

Carbohydrate should be the main driver for a runner’s diet, because they are the fuel for workouts and promote muscle recovery

Take a note – some carbohydrate deliver great nutritional value than others

Think Potatoes not potato chips… make the most of the carbohydrate with whole grains, fruits and vegetables

During an endurance run, keep in mind two main causes of fatigue and try to combat them before the race. Depletion of carbohydrate stores and hydration can end the race.

Filling the glycogen before the race will delay fatigue.  As a bonus, the run will be easier to complete if you have enough glycogen on board.

Ensure that each day your daily diet contains 5-7g Carbohydrate/kg of body weight will speed the recovery from daily runs.

Secondly, before each run, being hydrated is very important if you want to put in a good performance.

Make a point to drink 5-7ml of fluid/kg of body weight approximately four hours before exercise. This gives a chance for the body to excrete what you don’t need before you begin the exercise.

During training, keep an eye on the water intake if running longer than sixty minutes. There are no rules on how much water intake needed as that depends on how much fluid you lose through sweat. “Practise a drinking strategy in training” train yourself on what will be used on the day for a bigger run like half marathon or full marathon.

Be extra diligent in hot and humid weather.

Try to vary the choices of fresh fruit and vegetables as much as possible according to what is in season as this will give you a greater range of micronutrients, antioxidants and phytonutrients.  – this is true whether for training or not.

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
I praise God for your life
May He teach you
His way as you walk in His foot path
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

Remember,
We cannot control what happens around us,

And I also pray that this verse refreshes you this week:
'However,
I consider my life worth nothing to me;
my only aim is to finish the race and
complete the task the Lord Jesus has given
me—the task of testifying to the
good news of God’s grace. '

'No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs,
but rather tries to please his commanding officer.
Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive
the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules.
The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.
Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this. '

2 Timothy 2:4-7

Always reflect on the Word of the LORD, for indeed He gives insight when you least expect it.

Welcome and hope you had a blessed weekend.  It is so good to see you 🙂

I thank God whom I serve
I am always learning something new about God
I am also learning about people around me
Above all I am also learning about myself
It is blessing to be blessed and to also bless others

Take the day as it comes, because everyday has its own troubles and His mercy is NEW each day.

Each day, with the Father,
we are equipped and inspired to face that day.
In His loving mercy,
I am corrected
In His Grace,
I am convicted and directed in the right path

Nothing I do or say is bigger than our Jesus
God with us and He calls us
Even when I think I am hiding
When I start to despair
Or too hard on myself
He squeezes my hand and reminds me
That He is GOD and I am His servant
Yet He calls me His friend

“Friend, I AM doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. (Matthew 20:13b-14)

I do love this parable of the Workers in the Vineyard.

It always encourages me that God is not partial
His ways are not our ways
And it is not lawful for Him to do as He wishes

He loves all His children
And each are given a gift
And at the end of the race we look forward to just one thing
Jesus the Bride
and on that day His welcome - “Well done my good and faithful servant”

As Paul will say I am in chains for the gospel and it is Christ that I preach and I will boast in Him alone.

It is encouraging to know that a few seconds christain and one with Christ their your whole life. The Father always welcome with open arms. So enter His presence every day and receive His Joy. Hold fast to the Word of God. Standing firm on the ROCK that never shakes

On Sunday,

I was again blessed with the Word of God. “The Good(ish) Kings series we looking at (2 Chronicles 26:1-23 & 2 Chroniches 27:1-9)

Thinking you know better than everyone
Is foolish
Folly I will say
It is not how you started
But how you finish matters so much.

The pleasures of the world is vanity
What does it accomplish ?
I have search around
On how to gratify my flesh
With wine, my eyes guiding my heart with wisdom
I made my own world great
I go into the gym to look great
I work so I can gratify the flesh
Yes I only look great
And all this indeed is nothing
For like the wind blows and we only hear the sound
One can never grasp it or know it direction
So the labour of the world
For it is grasping of the wind

All things must come and bow before the Lord our God

Yes, come with me to the vault. At times, things get lost in the box of magic we carry around. As I listen to a sermon, God highlights different things in my box that had gone to the bottom, hidden!

Welcome to my Treasure Trove of Information. It is no different to any other day. Both Saturday and Sunday I Listen to different pastors. The Lord’s prayer was one of the magic pencil that highlights the things that need to come out of the box

It is amazing how the Word of God can fix a problem, it not only highlights but, it does it to heal and not to shame us.

Come let have a look at forgiveness. Yes Forgiveness – the poison that we drink ourselves:

So I searched and I loved what Mayoclinic says about it.

Forgiveness means different things to different people. Generally, however, it involves a decision to let go of resentment and thoughts of revenge.

The act that hurt or offended you might always be with you, but forgiveness can lessen its grip on you and help free you from the control of the person who harmed you. Forgiveness can even lead to feelings of understanding, empathy and compassion for the one who hurt you.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing the harm done to you or making up with the person who caused the harm. Forgiveness brings a kind of peace that helps you go on with life.

And I sit and reflect, and think about what the Bible says about it. My go to:

The Lord’s Prayer came to mind And it is so true Lord forgive me as I forgive others

Without forgiveness it does leads to temptation
The door to unforgiveness opens the door for the enemy to enter
When he enters and see the house clean
Goes out and takes seven other spirit into the house
Which can be anything, hatred, jealousies,
outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, hearsies,
envy, murders, drunkness
As God highlighted Galatians five the fruits of the flesh
The curses from the enemy
Take your pick

But unforgiveness is a poison that slowly kills from the inside out

The enemy is always near looking for someone to devour.

Sin lies at the door
And its desire is for you
But you should rule over it

For the Lord our God has blessed us abundantly
From the beginning was the Word
And the Word was with God
And the Word was God
And that Word became flesh
And the Word turns darkness into light

And the Word shines so brightly
The flesh cannot comprehend it
For greater is He that is in me
than he that is in the world

For He that is in me brings new cloths to put on
the full armour of God
And also giving me the gifts of the Spirit

Lord lead me not into temptation
But deliver me from the evil one
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

'Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe.
Be mighty and full of courage.
Let love and kindness be the motivation behind all that you do. '

1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Morning sunrise – view from my kitchen
Don’t forget
The Saviour and God our Father
Has given us life

Never forget that our strength is not man made
That fades like a vapour

But remember that the God of our Saviour Jesus Christ
Is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever

Remember that the enemy is only here to KILL, STEAL and DESTROY
Always be alert
For as long as you are in the presence of the Lord
He is the only One that prepares a table
A feast as the enemies watches
His Joy overflows

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Happy First Month!

Hi and welcome to the vault. Hope you had a good weekend. My weekend was in anticipation of the week. And as I pack my suitcase and think about what one needs for camping, minimal Miss Vandi is what you need. My mind goes back to the youth as they are very much excited. The resilience has been built up for the future.

And all I kept thinking of the kids and how they would be feeling. Excited, emotional and what to wear or how to behave. Praying that they have the peace that surpasses all understanding. Above all that God breaks through to them.

This week, I embark on a journey not alone but with my church family to be a child of God and serve the youth. We are going on a journey together, that is exciting.

I will be on a break this week and just be present at that moment.

Below is a link, if you want to know more about New DAY in the UK.

Just one thing as you go about your day to day, prayers warriors, children of God: Pray that the kids will have an amazing time and God will break through to each of them. They will be the light everywhere they go. Pray as the spirit leads you. Thank you and God bless you.

Thank you for stopping by,  Sorry If I don’t reply as we told the kids no phone, guess what, we must abide by the rules too. God help us!

As I sit and write, Isaiah inspired me to praise the Lord, be blessed this week and the remaining month and years to come.

Praise the Father
Praise the Son
Praise the Spirit
Praise the Three in ONE
That joins the body as one

Praise the Lord
Our God that would rend the Heavens
To come down!

Praise the Lord our God
That the mountains will shake at His presence
That the nations may tremble at His presence

Praise the Lord
That God always does awesome things
Which we did not expect
'For from days of old no one has heard,
nor has ear perceived,
Nor has the eye seen a God besides You,
Who works and acts in behalf of the one who [gladly] waits for Him.
You meet him who rejoices in doing that which is morally right,
Who remembers You in Your ways.
Indeed, You were angry, for we sinned;
We have long continued in our sins [prolonging Your anger].
And shall we be saved [under such circumstances]? '

Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord

Hope you had a good weekend, heatwave in London this weekend and more heat to come in the week

On Saturday went to two different weddings – it was pefect day to listen to the word of God and be part of the community to stand with the couples as they take this new journey

Weddings make me reflect on what Love truly is, as I listen to our pastor preached about the definition of LOVE. He went through what the google dictionary says about LOVE:

Noun:
an intense feeling of deep affection.
a great interest and pleasure in something.

Verbs:
feel deep affection for (someone).
like or enjoy very much.

Compared to what The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13. He gives us a picture of what truly LOVE is through the eyes of Jesus to the Church.

LOVE is patient the first thing mention, Love is not based on feelings

Patient according to google: able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious. So I mediate in my heart I want to be like that and also have all those qualities of Love –

Love never gives up,
Love cares more for others than for self,
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have,
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything
Trusts God always
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end

MSG version

Come and welcome to the vault. Hope you enjoyed your weekend and it is a Joy you stopped by.

The vault calls, as I was having a look around and thinking of the food we eat these days. Lately I have been moving closer to having less meat and more greens on the plates.

In doing this one also has to make sure one has all the key nutrients without having to spend money on supplements. They are supplements and not replacement of the food.

How to make sure you get the Key nutrients as vegetarians

Proteins – Pulses (beans, lentils, peas); Tofu and Soya Products; Quorn, Eggs. diary products (milk, cheese, yogourt) nuts and seeds

The key to meeting the protein requirement and consuming the full range of essential amino acids is planning. Which means having a wide variety of plant foods as amino acids that are lacking in one food will be present in another.

Eat a mix of plant protein over the day for a good range of the essential amino acids. A good daily intake is 1g/kg body weight

Essential fats – nuts and seeds (walnuts, linseed, hemp, rapeseed and flaxseed)

Vitamin D – fortified dairy products, breakfast cereal, eggs and from sunlight on the skin

Vitamin B12 – eggs and dairy products; fortified yeast extract and cereals

Iron –  wholemeal bread, whole grains, nuts, pulses, green vegetables (e.g. broccoli, watercress), fortified breakfast cereals, seeds

Eating vitamin C-rich foods along with iron-rich foods will greatly improve the absorption of iron. Limit intake of tea/coffee as this can also impair absorption

Zinc – leafy green vegetables, wholegrain brain and pasta; nuts, seeds, pulses, dried fruits, eggs and dairy products.

Avoid bran and bran-enriched food as they can prevent the absorption of zinc.

However any increased intake of zinc should be through food sources not supplements as too high a level can be detrimental.

Food for thought:

When considering becoming vegetarian, do not fall into the trap of eating too many dairy products in order to obtain the correct level of protein intake. Although it does resolve the missing protein but also presents a problem, this strategy invariably leads to a diet that is high in fat, particularly saturated fat.

A carefully planned diet has an advantage of avoiding supplements except possible B12.

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

'Teach me Your way, O Lord , I will walk and live in Your truth;
Direct my heart to fear Your name [with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder].
I will give thanks and praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart;
And will glorify Your name forevermore. '

Psalms 86:11-12 AMP

Hi and welcome! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Could you believe it! It does look like the month of June has come by very quickly as the sun shines and set in the day so does the days in the month must come to end

In my church we have been studying the Book of Colossians and on Sunday was the last of the chapter. Thanksgiving!

Reminding us of the gift of gratitude. As I look at the beautiful sun going down
One has to think and be grateful for the day

Gratitude, I have come to know is one that puts a break to the pride
And unlocking the potential in us
It changes our focus

Each time I say thank you
A book on the shelf is opened and read

And so as it is the last day Monday of the month. A big thank you to you for stopping by, really appreciate it.

I look to the God above
God of creation
God of both near to us as breathing and
God far above our reach that we cannot see or touch

The God of Creation
Who has all principalities and power under His feet
He has conquered both sin and death
He is the image of the Invisible God
He is the Son that lightens our day
For all things were created through Him and for Him
He is the head of the body, the church
Jesus is the beginning
The first born from the dead
Indeed all the treasure of wisdom and knowledge
Are found in Jesus alone
He is in all

A New Creation in Christ: As I look at the new clothes with many colours that brightens the day I give thanks

As I put on these clothes,
It shows us the Love of God
which He has so lavished on us daily

Oh the cloth with many colours
The many colours that stands out in the crowd
For only in Him I am restored by His salvation

Righteous is the Lord our God
For He has cloth us with His tender mercies
And He has turned away from the fierceness of His anger

Oh the joy of Lord,
Brightens the cloth beyond my imagination
For it is whiter than snow

Yes the Lord our God has given to us what is good
For Mercy and truth have met together
Righteousness and peace have kissed

The kindness radiates even when prosecuted
The Lord my God will make His footsteps our pathway
As we walk in His promises and say
“Hear I am Lord send me”

What a gracious God we serve

WE give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!
For Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near
Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂
