“Treasure Trove of Information”

'In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it]. '

John 1:4-5 AMP
Local coffee shop in Bermondsey – liked it!

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and Saviour of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hope you had a very good weekend. Mine was interesting and fun from Friday night to Sunday.

Welcome to the vault…

Follow me, on Saturday I was immersed in the story of Jesus: the synoptic gospel – Matthew, Mark and Luke – unified view of the life of Jesus. It was very interesting looking at the gospel so fast – like a trailer.

I did learn that all three gospel views were selective and creative as led by the Holy Spirit. Like any creative writer as our teacher Liam points us to the Book of John:

‘There are also many other signs (attesting miracles) that Jesus performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; ‘ John 20:30 AMP

‘And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were recorded one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.’ John 21:25 AMP

Fascinating – I find the Bible very fascinating. My understanding of it is the Grace of God.

It was not written in our days and the people that listened to it had an understanding of the parables. Jesus knew that we would read it. The parable of the sower – the farmer drops the seeds first before plowing, which makes sense to the audience. But not to us.

I have come to learn: The bible is not about me or you and to NEVER read the wonderful story of God like a consumer.

The Bible is not for us to rip apart to fit our wants and our wants always change.

“It is a lamp that lights the path. It guides us and not a text to lead us astray. The intended purpose is to teach the truth, rebuking errors, correcting faults and giving instruction for right living.”

Learning to read the gospel in the context it was intended and looking from the inside (the verse, the one before and after and then the whole chapter and then enter the entire gospel and understanding in the content of the whole bible what the writer intended for the reader to grasp in that time gives you a whole new picture of what the Bible is). Use your imagination when reading the Bible, sit and reflect on what you learnt. If it references an old testament, go and read the chapter of the text. Understand the story. “God’s Big and Love Story”

It is a relationship with God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Fascinating! So yes, come follow me!

On Sunday as we continued on  1 Peter – looking at Holiness in chapter one. Reflecting on this verse:

'So prepare your minds for action, be completely sober [in spirit—steadfast, self-disciplined, spiritually and morally alert], fix your hope completely on the grace [of God] that is coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed. ' 1 Peter 1:13 AMP

As I meditate on verse thirteen above:
Prepare your hearts and mind for action - how do we prepare our hearts and minds?
Set our mind on the things above
We have salvation
Salvation is from God alone
We didn’t earn or need to ever work for it.

It is also interesting that we have the full armour of God to wear so we will be able to withstand the schemes of the enemies.

Never go into a battle unarmed, you setting yourself up for a failure
Because the enemy, the devil, roams around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

So I think and reflect, I spend too much time reflecting. It is part of my character!

Last week, everywhere I turned “it is a process” kept flashing into my eyes and mind.

And as I was running on Saturday, which was really hard this week. My body was just tired and my heart was beating so fast (upon checking it on my watch, it did say I was at the peak for 80% of the time, figure that out).

So I reflect on prepare your mind:
I set my mind on doing seven miles in just over an hour and did 7.76 in an hour and twenty-eight. I pushed myself and for what reason? I want to and I am building my long distance running.
My mind was set on completely the task
In all things, prepare your minds for action

All things start in our minds and heart
Always pre-decide what you want to achieve
If you want to achieve it then learn the act of not snoozing.
Do it and don’t fear.
Better yet, do it afraid and
Learn and that is the way to progress
What can I do better?
In my case: Go party and not dance too much.

As I was out partying on Friday night and dancing - my Pastor’s Birthday. I spoke to a friend as we were dancing - how the strength of God helps us when we think we are empty. "Her story ended with - It is through Christ who strengthen me." It was a long week of study and work but I made it today and only came out so I can see my family."

The point is my mind was made up. Left early on Friday to get home before ten so I can have enough rest. Yes, figure that out.

Which explains why I was very tired on the run… because I was out dancing.

Come let us get back to the topic..

To be completely sober is a process -
It starts with a five minutes talk with the Lord
Then you find that it is not enough, I want more
Then twenty minutes and in the process
It does become natural to speak to God every single time

And the same with work, you learn and progress

But we must be sober
And not let the process become legalist or ritual
We must be sober and morally alert and not lean on our own understanding
Yes we must be sober, and not let fear drive us
but know that we have Power, love and sound mind

So when Christ is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit
It is by faith in the Lord that we walk in
It is by faith we come to completion
Yes even our faith is by the grace of God
And it is such an amazing gift from God.

Blessed, grateful, praised and adored be to our
Father and Saviour of our LORD Jesus Christ.
Make a joyful shout to the LORD
Worship the LORD with joy
Come before Him with happy songs!

Acknowledge that the LORD is GOD!
The LORD made us, and we belong to HIM
We are HIS people, we are HIS sheep
Come and worship HIM with thanksgiving
Enter HIS courts with praise

It is better to be in the House and
The presence of the LORD than anywhere else and
The LORD is good and HIS LOVE is eternal and
HIS faithfulness is forever
Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
I praise God for your life
May He teach you
His way as you walk in His foot path
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

Remember,
We cannot control what happens around us,
but we can control our responses.
Be bless and know that the Lord loves you

And I also pray that this verse refreshes you this week:
'However,
I consider my life worth nothing to me;
my only aim is to finish the race and
complete the task the Lord Jesus has given
me—the task of testifying to the
good news of God’s grace. '
Acts 20:24 NIV

Praises –

91:

'But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. '

1 Peter 2:9-10 NIV

Today I am inspired by my connect group or life group,  we meet on Tuesdays and as we look at 1 Peter. I am reminded:

How amazing God is and He has chosen us. We are His special possession. Let us praise the Lord that called us out of darkness into His marvellous light. It is amazing that it was past and now it is present every day. I am part of God’s people. I have received mercy.

Thank You God for choosing us. Thank You Jesus, for Your Love that saw me and still die for me. Thank You for the New Month and walking with me.

In awe and wonder I look up:

Let us marvel at our glorious God
And it is fortunate that we are chosen
It is fortunate to have GOD, this Father of our Master Jesus!
Why?

God raised Jesus from the dead
And now we have life because Jesus is alive
It is good to know that in Christ Jesus our Master
We are given a brand new life
We are given a future
A future in Heaven and
we do not need to wait for Heaven.
The future starts on earth
The future starts when we believe and follow Christ
The future is in God’s hand
He watches over us and our future
Take heart for a day will come
When we will be fully healed and made whole
In the meantime let us keep up the faith
The mighty power of God constantly guards us
Until full salvation.

Trials and tribulation are constant
Today, I walk and it follows
I run and it runs after me
I stand and it try to overshadow me
I jump for Joy for in the trails I am refined
My faith is tested and growth is imminent
These trails do reveal the goodness of God
Which is far more valuable than gold which perishes
And gold is refined by fire.

So I set my heart and mind for action
My soul, let us stay alert and fix our hope
Firmly on the marvellous grace that we do not deserve
For life without God is meaningless
Let us shape our lives to become like the Holy One
Jesus Christ, who has called us
And through Him we now believe in God
The same God that raised Jesus Christ from the dead
And glorified Him, so that our faith and
hope would be fastened on God alone.

It is God that purifies us as we are obedient to His word
The truth about Jesus purifies our very soul
And this empowers us to be full of love for our fellow believers
My soul, the seed that is planted grows forever inside us
The flesh is temporary and like a grass
And the glory of man is fleeting
Like the lilies in the fields that falls off
But His word endures forever
And this word lives in us forever.
Thank you for stopping by
God bless you in your journey

Secure yourself to the amazing Father
and the Lord of our Saviour Jesus Christ

Walk in His promises for Your life
Write them down

Say them out loud to yourself or anyone who will listen

Glorify His name especially in the bad weathers
His promises are trustworthy all the time

“Treasure Trove of Information”

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for You;
my flesh faints for You,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary,
beholding Your Power and glory.
Because Your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise You.

Psalm 63:1-3 ESV

Grace to you and peace to you from God the Saviour and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome to the vault…

Let us rejoice in the Lord
Choose the gift of joy and bring a smile
In every situation of your life
Give thanks for God is good.

Wow it is already the end of January. One always think have I accomplish what I started.

The solution is: Take a look and if not, then today is a good day to start again. Did you know that you always have more grace and also to share with others everyday? Grace is given abundantly more than we deserve.

Science has shown that as humans our brain is able to adapt and respond to new ways of doing things.

Figure that out.

As long as there is life there is always hope. Did you know: The power to get healthier and live a life that the heart desires is always possible.

So, never stop learning until you get the desired outcome.

Find and talk to others to help develop your skills and strengths.

If you haven’t accomplish your goals then it is not too late. It is journey, have grace for yourself.

Pause and wonder! Take a break, and then start again fresh. Never give up!

Life is to be enjoyed!

Come, follow me. How was your weekend? My weekend was interesting.

On Saturday, I went to Canary Wharf to join in the madness of watching the lights. Fascinating that we are so drawn to light. Lights that are switch off.

I wonder and ponder, even in cold weather.

It was good to enjoy the walk with friends, watching and listening to the music around us. One of the lights was synced with the music which was cool. Loved it.

It was a cold evening, and It was a wonderful evening. On the floor of one of the lights it says “We are made of STAR stuff”

I love to wander around and listening to the things around me. One could not help but think that God calls and knows me by name.

He is the God that knows every star and the name of each one. He knows me and I am beautiful in His sight. Yes, I am made of star stuff!

On Sunday we looked at 1 Peter Chapter two,  a continuation from last week. (Series)

We are made of STAR stuff.
Yes we are and can be rejected by men.
But in the sight of God chosen and precious.
We are a living stone being built up as spiritual house.
We are a holy priesthood which means we can enter into the holy of holies through Christ Jesus.
Amen!

It is wonderful to know
Each person is unique and fits into the spiritual house.
Chosen and not an accident.
Loved and highly favoured.
For those that believe
In the Lord Jesus Christ.

As I ponder and think
And to those that do not believe

“He is the stone that makes people stumble,
The rock that makes them fall.”
They stumble because they do not obey God’s word,
and so they meet the fate that was planned for them.

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people.
You are royal priests, a holy nation,
God’s very own possession.
As a result, you can show others the goodness of God,
for He called you out of darkness into the wonderful light.

“Once you had no identity as a people;
Now you are God’s people.
Once you receive no mercy;
Now you have received God’s mercy”
1 Peter 2: 8-10 NIV

I thank God for your life and for stopping by today.

Lord, my God and Saviour
Thank You God for choosing me
Thank You God that I have Your favour always
Thank You God for Your goodness and mercy is new everyday
Thank You Lord Jesus for choosing me
Thank You God that I am Your possession
Thank You God that Your kindness and love doesn’t stop with me
In Jesus Name, Amen

This is wonderful news… this is the good news.

Come follow and enjoy the pictures.

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Teach me Your way, O LORD;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.
I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart,
And I will glorify Your Name forevermore
For great is Your mercy toward me,
And You have delivered my soul from the depts of Sheol

Psalm 86:11-13

Welcome to the vault, hope you had a very good weekend. My weekend was good and on Sunday we started a new series which is based on Peter’s letter.

It got me thinking:

Dear lovely people,

May Grace and Peace be multiplied to you.

It got me thinking:

We have gone from letters to now emails.

I do get to write emails to other colleagues and also clients and customers. Our way of communication to others and sometimes these can be misinterpreted and secondly emotionless.

Sometimes we can forget that another person reads that email. Do we think about how we want them to read the emails? If that was me, how would I want to receive this email?

Not to forget we are bombarded with so many emails that do us no good.

Follow me to the vault, for we are to check out one of the electronic forms of communications.

Electronic mails (or emails or e-mails) we have come a long way and advanced in writing letters to others.

According to Wikipedia: E-mails is a method of exchanging messages between people using electronic devices.

Emails came at the right time when physical mails could not be received and it is a medium to receive messages

The term electronic mail has been in use with its modern meaning since 1975, and variations of the shorter E-mail have been in use since 1979

As I taught about the message from Peter.

Meditating on the words and pondering on how Peter who walked with Jesus, slept, ate, argued with Jesus. Wrote a letter.

The style of the letter has not changed.

We start with greetings and then the message and a conclusion with a bye.

Sometimes emails can be overwhelming with lots of things that I really don’t want to see. I am glad we have spam emails inbox but sometimes some do bypass.

We receive some that are frauds that look to do anything to defraud us from our money or even our identity.

It is good to have filters but it is also good to be aware that not all emails are good for us.

I sit and think, did receiving letters have so much securities

How times do change?

Does it get better or worst ?

It might depend on your perspective

Emails are a lot quicker and also it does not depend on both of you the receiver and sender to be online at the same time

It also means you can send to a lot of people at one time only.

When it comes to saving the environment, we will have to take into account the devices that send and read the emails.

So I listen to the sermon on Peter and meditate on all that I have heard.

Praised be to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
By His boundless mercy we have been born again
To an ever-living hope through the resurrection of our
Lord Jesus Christ from the dead.

Lord, You have been favourable to us
You have forgotten the iniquity of Your people
You have covered all our sins
You have taken away all Your wrath

Lord, restore to us the Joy of Your salvation
Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
I praise God for your life

Learning to Live LIFE in Christ Jesus

'I lay down and slept [safely];
I awakened, for the Lord sustains me.
I will not be intimidated or afraid of the ten thousands
Who have set themselves against me all around. '

Psalms 3:5-6 AMP

David gives me hope, if he can sleep so can I. For my God sustains me and Jesus has rescued us from sin and death.

Grace to you and peace from the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And I hope you have a good sleep this weekend.

What a week?

It has been cold and I am also learning a lot.

I never used to understand the concept of Corinthians, well I don’t think I do now anyway. Learning to read the Bible from God’s eyes and what He is saying and not making it about me.

The Bible is worth learning if the enemy can do anything to take away the word of God and create multiples of counterfeit then it is worth investing our lives in it. Because it is very valuable.

As I come to the end of 1 Corithians chapter 14: it becomes clear: this is about the Corithians and Paul receiving a letter and then responding to the letter.

It gives us a lamp that lights the path so we don’t make the same mistakes but learn from it.

Spiritual Self indulgence is not the goal
It is a monstrous evil
It shows it ugly head in the church
For it must come to fed always
It is never there to be edify
It is never there to give to others
So one must kill it

As Paul continues to teach the Corinthians, one truly have to look at Jesus

The wind and wave obey Him
We all have a choice

The word of God is not written to disrupt the body
The word of God is not written to cause confusion

The beauty about God
Is allowing us to ask questions

'All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration]
and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin],
for correction [of error and restoration to obedience],
for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will,
both publicly and privately—behaving honourably with personal integrity and moral courage]; '

2 Timothy 3:16 AMP

The entire church service gathering should be regulated
Not everyone should be talking at the same time
If everyone is talking then no one is listening
The Holy Spirit should lead our thought process.
And we are given gifts so we can use it and encourage the church to grow in strength.

Paul was teaching the Corinthians on how to behave in the gathering in the church.
Chapter 14: verses 34-35

Women are not in the church to distract….
We are women of God
Worshipers, preachers, teachers, prophets
We are are to edify, teach and receive from the body as well as from the Holy Spirit
With questions, answers can given at the end of the service

The END of chapter fourteen:
Prophecy - desire it and come in as a blessing to the church. Speak a new message from God to the people
Edify the church….
Speaking tongues - continue to speak and seek in your devotional and to help in the church.
There should always be an ORDER in the church - being gentle and listening to one and other
