' “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah),
Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy),
to proclaim the favourable year of the
Lord [the day when salvation and the favour of God abound greatly].” '

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Welcome to the vault, hope you had good weekend and rested :). My weekend was great!

WOW it is the LAST MONDAY of September!

It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing priases to the Name of the LORD Most High. To declare His loving Kindness in the morning and His Faithfulness every night. Praise be to the LORD

My weekend: It was packed from Friday; night out with the women in my connect group. Resting on Saturday morning for a late walk with a friend and sharing what it means to walk with Jesus. This has made me think… Why do I follow Christ Jesus my Lord, well the truth is Jesus choose me so I can follow Him? What is my perspective of God, Is God my Genie that will answer my wishes? What if He doesn’t? We talked about our faith, deep conversation….

On Sunday after church, as I took at glance at Ezekiel 34: It is always comforting to know that God has called us and He is also the Good Shepherd who calls and will search for His sheep and also seek us out.

On Sunday in Church, we continue to look at the Book of Luke: today we looked at Luke 4:14-30

One of the things among everything that she touched on was to be present – in the proximity of the poor.

And touching on the fact that the people were filled with wrath at Jesus in verse twenty-eight after Jesus finished reading the scroll from Isaiah (Luke 4:18-19)

Because He had come to change the views of Jews
It was no longer just the Jews but also the Gentiles
This is good news for us

Today, I understand the scriptures…

The scripture was fulfilled because Jesus did not come just for the Jews but for all

To set everyone free.. What God promised to Abraham to bless the nation that was now fulfilled.

The Son of David
The Son of Abraham
JESUS CHRIST God with us
Has come to set us free

We have the same spirit that raised the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead now dwells in us

The Bible shows us people that no one looks at but GOD sees and looks at everyone. No one hides from God, even if you think you are!

The Spirit of the Lord is upon us
It never ceases to amaze me

That the Son of Man has power
The Son of God is with us always
It is in Him that we have power to raise the dead
In His Name the broken hearted are healed
In His Name the captives are set free
In His Name, Jesus shows us that everyone is welcome

That never ceases to amaze me as I look in awe and wonder

The Good and True Shepherd:

We give thanks to the Good Shepherd
Truly God is good to us all
To such that are pure in heart

What a One of a Kind Shepherd we serve
There is no other Shepherd like our God
That understands what it means to be truly human
To face the temptation and to overcome with Joy
A Shepherd that is alive and our Creator

A Shepherd that seeks out His flocks
A Shepherd that saves the flocks in all seasons
Who laid His life for the sheep
Who walks in the darkness to find the sheep
Who brings the light into the world

Oh what a mighty God we serve
That causes showers of blessings
To rain down in due seasons
The trees of the field to bear their fruits
The earth to increase in its season

Yes, A Good Good Shepherd
That has broken the bands of yoke
and delivered us from the hands of the enemy
So I will not be afraid to walk when the darkness comes
For He is the light and we are His people

Be assured throughout the week
We are chosen, we are His people
To be Holy and blameless before Him in Love
Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
I praise God for your life
May He teach you
His way as you walk in His foot path
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

Remember,
We cannot control what happens around us,
but we can control our responses.

I consider my life worth nothing to me;

me—the task of testifying to the
good news of God’s grace. '

The LORD said to my Lord,
"Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."
The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out od Zion.
Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

Psalm 110:1-2

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Today is the funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II and we say our final goodbye till we meet again!

Come and welcome to the vault… Hope you had a good weekend.

My weekend was good:

On Saturday, we started our God’s Big Story – the first session (by David Devenis) an overview of the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation

Laying the foundation for what is to come. It always amazes me when we listen to The Bible, the new materials you can find.

As he talked through The Bible, I was struck by the overview of The Book of Leviticus: – it made me think about all the sacrifices and offerings that the people of Israel had to learn. I am glad we don’t need to kill any animals anymore for sacrifices.

But it is a Book to be looked at as found out from David:

Leviticus: The very taught that this was a preparation to show the people of Israel that our God is a very Holy God, never cross my mind.

The sacrifices that were made: Only the exact right sacrifice could act as an atonement for sin

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood,
and I have given it to you upon the altar to
make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood
that makes atonement for the soul.”
Leviticus 17:11

Praise be to the LORD!
For it is good to sing praises to the Lord

Even when we sin
Time and time again He made sacrifices
The Lord shows us the way, the truth and life

In the beginning, the Lord our God showed what sacrifices means
He made tunics of skin and clothed Adam and Eve

When man could not fulfils it promises
He was faithful and prepared us for the biggest sacrifice of all
For the Lord our God so love the world that He sacrifice
His One and only Son for the atonement of our soul
That we will be free
That we will work in complete freedom
It is good to sing praises to King of kings
Who has set us free
Free indeed!

As I listened and pondered about Leviticus: Another point he made was – God also gave the laws to set them apart from the other nations by introducing all sorts of dietary and hygiene laws. Why? Because the line of the Messiah was to come from the people of Israel.

What a wonderful God we serve!

“And If you offer a sacrifice of a peace offering to the LORD,
you shall offer it of your free will.”
Leviticus 19:5

They were not under compulsion
They were free to sacrifice and a choice was given

The Lord our God
Does Not need anything from us
He is not looking to build up some points
Before the foundation of the world we were chosen
He Loved us before we knew Him

As we look at the laws in The Book Leviticus, one must always remember that:

“He is the Lord our God” – who has separated us from the peoples.

God is good and His mercy endures forever

Now that is a reason to smile and give thanks

At the end when David spoke: the question most people ask is What is the plan of God for my life?”. Understanding the big picture of God’s plan makes us ask that question differently. We ask, “What is my role/part to play in God’s plan to transform the world? And this has left me pondering!

And to end my weekend: On Sunday we had a lady who got baptised, as we cheered loudly and we know the cheers will be louder in Heaven.

Looking everywhere else is futile
Meaningless and grasping of the wind

It is in Christ Jesus we find freedom
Freedom, true freedom

Life is not easy but it is better to walk with the Lord
Than to be in complete darkness

The ways of the Lord is very different
His kingship we cannot fathom

His work in our lives is built from the ground up
The foundation of the Lord is beautiful

Every child chosen is part of that beautiful building of stones
And Christ is the cornerstone

The Lord is beautiful
He forgives our iniquity

The Lord is our God
The Lord is good
Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
Love her and she will keep you
Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding

Proverbs 4:6-7

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and Saviour Jesus Christ. Come and welcome to the vault… Hope you had a good weekend.

September! the start of the new school year. Wow it does look like the year is surely going fast not such where it running to. BUT… let focus on today. My weekend was for and on purpose to stay at home and just relax.

In every situations, we either bring out the light or take the light out

So I watched movies. But one stood out in Netflix – “Trees of Peace”

These four women. Trapped and hiding together from different backgrounds

I sure did cry!

Let us come into the vault of treasures
As we lift our eyes to the hills
The Lord is surely good

Nothing is a coincidence in life
Destiny, desires are all part of us

Two are better than one
If one fall then another will lift them up

Together we stand strong and lift each other up
Together we can find healing and peace

Words! Words! O Words!
They are life or death
My friends, words can be a JOY
or DEATH to the soul
Be Careful what you say

So I said to my soul
To everything there is a season
A time for every purpose under the Heaven

A time of war
And a time of peace

I know that all things are for a purpose
Truly the light is sweet
And it is pleasant for the eyes to behold the sun
My soul as the sunflower follows the sun
Let our heart seek the Son in all things

Let us rejoice in the Lord
Let us remember the Lord in
the days of the darkness
For they will come
All that is coming is vanity
And this too will pass

Hear my cry Lord God
Listen to my prayer
When my heart is overwhelmed
Lead me Lord Jesus to the rock
The Rock that is higher than I

You have been a shelter to me
A strong tower from my enemy
You have been my provider
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings

One doesn’t have to look too far to
remember the goodness of GOD

In trails, my soul let us step back:

One has only one mouth and two ears so
One must be very slow to speak and quick to hear
One must be slow to offences - they will come
Let us surrender our desires to the Lord our God

The Lord of LIGHT who has only perfect LIGHT and
NO variations or shadows of turning
The TRUE light which gives light to every man
Coming into the world

He loves us
My sould HE loves us so much
My soul no one loves us the way HE does
Such LOVE is unconditional and the mind cannot comprehend it

My soul let us turn our eyes to the LIGHT
Who gives us the truth and peace

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

“Treasure Trove of Information”

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all
those who do His commandments
His praise endures forever.

Psalm 111: 10
Royal Festival Hall, Southbank – I love this.

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Hope you had a good weekend.

For every good thing, we need the sword of truth in the hand to combat any lies that the enemy brings.

Sometimes I forget that God wants me to ask for everything
And also He knows what I want before I even ask
Everything in our lives, He wants to be part of it

So this weekend God surprises me
Yes I still smile as I remember
God gave me something I needed but never taught to ask Him

Why? I really don’t know.
All I said was God I don’t know what to do
Went to bed and in the morning
Here it was, right in my eyes
It is an absolute miracle

My mind could not comprehend this
My soul knows it and so I give thanks to God
I am still speechless and shared His goodness to my friends
God knows what we need
He is I AM …
I love the Lord because He loved me first
His unconditional love is not based on my behaviour
but that He is a GOOD good Father always

Welcome to my Treasure Trove of Information:

Here goes, follow me. It is a hot day, well everyday these days are HOT days, don’t you think so. I love it because I get to wear my african attires and you get to see people. I mean we are all happy to spend time with each other outside and have fun.

Saturday was a good day, a friend’s birthday party was unplanned and we enjoyed walking around and enjoying a street party. Came to Brixton, London and just enjoyed the day until nighttime. It was just funtastic day.

Sunday, at church I listened to the church service on the Good(ish) Kings and this Sunday was a summary on Hezekiah (2 Chrichinles 29- 32)

One of the things that I am learning from these Good(ish) Kings – these leaders

The measure of what is good in our LORD’s sight is completely different to what we think is classified as good.

They did good in the sight of God
Yes they did good
They forsake all other gods and worship God
They turn themselves and the people to face GOD
And worship only HIM

From Hezekiah:

We are to take courage
Be strong and not to be afraid
The enemy might seem to have a vast army
Or it might seem we sinking into the sea
But always remember that
There is a greater power with us than with the enemy
Also the LORD will never let us sink

I learned something as I was sitting here
The enemy is using the flesh to break us down
Because he knows how weak the flesh is
But with us, is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles
For the battles belong to the Lord

The horse is prepared for the day of the battle
But the war is won by the LORD

On what do we base our confidence?

We base our confidence in the LORD our GOD
For the LORD our God will always SAVE us
And so pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit
Being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all saints

It is not how we start but how we end that really matters
In trails, in the temptations
They come until the last day

How we respond really and truly matters

First comes pride then downfall

Always give honour where honour is due

We are created to Fight – it is a place of victory

We are to Remain obedient – it is place of choice

Do not complain – give thanks in all things and let the word of the LORD bless you and direct your footsteps

Stand strong – never look at the external things for strength BUT depend on the LORD

Yes how we respond truly matters

It is never about how you start but how you finish

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord

“Treasure Trove of Information”

'No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs,
but rather tries to please his commanding officer.
Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive
the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules.
The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.
Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this. '

2 Timothy 2:4-7

Always reflect on the Word of the LORD, for indeed He gives insight when you least expect it.

Welcome and hope you had a blessed weekend.  It is so good to see you 🙂

I thank God whom I serve
I am always learning something new about God
I am also learning about people around me
Above all I am also learning about myself
It is blessing to be blessed and to also bless others

Take the day as it comes, because everyday has its own troubles and His mercy is NEW each day.

Each day, with the Father,
we are equipped and inspired to face that day.
In His loving mercy,
I am corrected
In His Grace,
I am convicted and directed in the right path

Nothing I do or say is bigger than our Jesus
God with us and He calls us
Even when I think I am hiding
When I start to despair
Or too hard on myself
He squeezes my hand and reminds me
That He is GOD and I am His servant
Yet He calls me His friend

“Friend, I AM doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. (Matthew 20:13b-14)

I do love this parable of the Workers in the Vineyard.

It always encourages me that God is not partial
His ways are not our ways
And it is not lawful for Him to do as He wishes

He loves all His children
And each are given a gift
And at the end of the race we look forward to just one thing
Jesus the Bride
and on that day His welcome - “Well done my good and faithful servant”

As Paul will say I am in chains for the gospel and it is Christ that I preach and I will boast in Him alone.

It is encouraging to know that a few seconds christain and one with Christ their your whole life. The Father always welcome with open arms. So enter His presence every day and receive His Joy. Hold fast to the Word of God. Standing firm on the ROCK that never shakes

On Sunday,

I was again blessed with the Word of God. “The Good(ish) Kings series we looking at (2 Chronicles 26:1-23 & 2 Chroniches 27:1-9)

Thinking you know better than everyone
Is foolish
Folly I will say
It is not how you started
But how you finish matters so much.

The pleasures of the world is vanity
What does it accomplish ?
I have search around
On how to gratify my flesh
With wine, my eyes guiding my heart with wisdom
I made my own world great
I go into the gym to look great
I work so I can gratify the flesh
Yes I only look great
And all this indeed is nothing
For like the wind blows and we only hear the sound
One can never grasp it or know it direction
So the labour of the world
For it is grasping of the wind

All things must come and bow before the Lord our God

Yes, come with me to the vault. At times, things get lost in the box of magic we carry around. As I listen to a sermon, God highlights different things in my box that had gone to the bottom, hidden!

Welcome to my Treasure Trove of Information. It is no different to any other day. Both Saturday and Sunday I Listen to different pastors. The Lord’s prayer was one of the magic pencil that highlights the things that need to come out of the box

It is amazing how the Word of God can fix a problem, it not only highlights but, it does it to heal and not to shame us.

Come let have a look at forgiveness. Yes Forgiveness – the poison that we drink ourselves:

So I searched and I loved what Mayoclinic says about it.

Forgiveness means different things to different people. Generally, however, it involves a decision to let go of resentment and thoughts of revenge.

The act that hurt or offended you might always be with you, but forgiveness can lessen its grip on you and help free you from the control of the person who harmed you. Forgiveness can even lead to feelings of understanding, empathy and compassion for the one who hurt you.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing the harm done to you or making up with the person who caused the harm. Forgiveness brings a kind of peace that helps you go on with life.

And I sit and reflect, and think about what the Bible says about it. My go to:

The Lord’s Prayer came to mind And it is so true Lord forgive me as I forgive others

Without forgiveness it does leads to temptation
The door to unforgiveness opens the door for the enemy to enter
When he enters and see the house clean
Goes out and takes seven other spirit into the house
Which can be anything, hatred, jealousies,
outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, hearsies,
envy, murders, drunkness
As God highlighted Galatians five the fruits of the flesh
The curses from the enemy
Take your pick

But unforgiveness is a poison that slowly kills from the inside out

The enemy is always near looking for someone to devour.

Sin lies at the door
And its desire is for you
But you should rule over it

For the Lord our God has blessed us abundantly
From the beginning was the Word
And the Word was with God
And the Word was God
And that Word became flesh
And the Word turns darkness into light

And the Word shines so brightly
The flesh cannot comprehend it
For greater is He that is in me
than he that is in the world

For He that is in me brings new cloths to put on
the full armour of God
And also giving me the gifts of the Spirit

Lord lead me not into temptation
But deliver me from the evil one
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again.

Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂

May your week be full of The Joy of the Lord
