Hi and welcome to the vault. Hope you had a good weekend. My weekend was in anticipation of the week. And as I pack my suitcase and think about what one needs for camping, minimal Miss Vandi is what you need. My mind goes back to the youth as they are very much excited. The resilience has been built up for the future.

And all I kept thinking of the kids and how they would be feeling. Excited, emotional and what to wear or how to behave. Praying that they have the peace that surpasses all understanding. Above all that God breaks through to them. 

This week, I embark on a journey not alone but with my church family to be a child of God and serve the youth. We are going on a journey together, that is exciting.

I will be on a break this week and just be present at that moment.

Just one thing as you go about your day to day, prayers warriors, children of God: Pray that the kids will have an amazing time and God will break through to each of them. They will be the light everywhere they go. Pray as the spirit leads you. Thank you and God bless you.

As I sit and write, Isaiah inspired me to praise the Lord, be blessed this week and the remaining month and years to come.

Praise the Father

That joins the body as one

Our God that would rend the Heavens 
To come down!

Praise the Lord our God  
That the mountains will shake at His presence

'For from days of old no one has heard,

Learning to Live LIFE in Christ Jesus

'I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, 
but Christ lives in me.

for if righteousness could be gained through the law, 
Christ died for nothing!”'

Hello, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ.

I thank God for you today
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ 
The Father of glory gives you the spirit of 
wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him

What is man? 
Lord God that You should be mindful of.

The process of life  
Is learning daily to walk and allow grace to be part of it 
It is not about works

The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever

As I look at Paul sitting writing his letter to the Corinth in response to what he read. I am reminded that we are not alone in the walk of life. It so happens that at random nothing is random, as I was walking, the podcast of NT Wright was about the Cross which made me sit and look at what Paul was talking about.

1 Corinthians 1:18: For the message of the cross…

The message of the Cross
Words, oh words of men 
Wisdom of men 
Words only words does not have the effect of the cross
 
Let not our wisdom be the factor of our deliverance 
Let not filter or water down the message to go through 
For the words are not ours 
The effect does not belong to us
For the Lord our Father chooses
 
And always remember that 
The foolish man will think what he wants to think 

Wisdom will always excel folly 
As light excels darkness 
The wise man’s eyes is in his head
But the fool walks in darkness
Ecclesiastes 2:13

The gospel is the message of the Cross
Preaching anything else is not the gospel
The gospel is NOT about preaching the 
High moral standard… or 
universal fatherhood of God… or
brotherhood of man

The message – was at the time a cruel way to die like an electric chair but much worse than that! Can you imagine that? 

Oh let sit and look at the cross, come and see the Lord 

For it was a cruel, humiliating, unrelenting instrument of death – hence why Paul added

…. is foolishness to those who are perishing. 

For they cannot see beyond the Now 
For darkness has covered there sight 
So they mocked Him 
And will continue to mock His followers…
But do take heart 
For God did save Him 
And He did overcame it

To us who are being saved it is the power of God…

The power that gives us strength 
The power that lets us see beyond the now 
The power that humbles our thinking into knowing that 
He is the Lord and King 

They both describe work in progress and each person moves towards one or the other. Saved or foolishness 

How can one look at the cross without the grace of God…
For without the power of God it is foolishness 
At the cross friendship is formed 
Because of the Cross 
Sin and death are both conquered 
For He is RISEN!

As I walk with Paul this week, I begin to understand life, well not as a whole but a little of it. 

Paul shows that life is not alone 

The power of the body of Christ on the Cross 
The Cross before he carried it
Before we even know what is going to happen  
Jesus took the place of Barabbas and all of us
Jesus took the place of our sins 
What evil has He done?....
Expect to LOVE us 

He was mocked and they took the purple off Him
So we would become children of God 
So we would be sons and daughters 
Having the rights to call God our Father 

The King on the Cross 
Shows us to cry for the generations 
For the days to come when they will need to know God 
Through Him we are one 
We become family through the Lord 

At the Cross, 
It is finished!

Paul shows us what Isaiah wanted us to know:  Isaiah 29: 14 what God says about the wisdom of men

• About spiritual matter God opposes the wisdom of men
• He will destroy the wisdom of men and not bow down to them.

The one clear point is that no one can do what Jesus has just done

Worthy is the Lamb 
The Lamb that is worthy to take the scroll
The Lamb that is worthy to direct our footsteps 
The Lamb that is worthy to lead the way of life 

And to open the seals of the scroll

For He was slain to redeem us to God by His blood
Through Him we are all made kings and priests to our God 
Through Him we are now sons and daughters 
Through Him we shall reign on the earth

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain 

To receive power and riches and wisdom 
And strength and honour and glory and blessing!
Worthy is the Lamb who sits on the throne
Forever and ever!

Welcome to the world of learning to live life in Christ Jesus. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ

As I continue the Book of 1 Corinthians chapter One

Grace, always comes first before peace
Grace, is spontaneous
No planning and it is natural and free 
A gift unmerited 

Oh, the divine favour of God 
God is good 

In His mercy 
The last will get the same as the first 
We are all called but only few will be chosen
The divine favour unmerited 

Lord Jesus Christ…

Oh, Lord of all 
King of all Kings 
Honour to the Name that is above all names
And every knee will bow to the Name of 
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

Enriched in everything

Looking at the Corithin Christians
They were indeed gifted in all things 
Yet the flesh overpowers the spirit 
The carnal mind must tamed  

Gifted yet carnal 
The spirit within you is stronger than the flesh
The gifts are nothing unless they are laid at the feet of the Lord 
With thanksgiving in our hearts

Isaiah 30:18 

Is it not wonderful that God chooses us not the other way round.

God who choose Corinth will see that the weak points are made stronger in the Lord. In the end the Corinth and also us will all appear as blameless before the Lord Jesus Christ

Because God is forever faithful 
One sees Jesus in every verse of the first ten verses
One wonders why…

One sees the cure to spiritual growth is Jesus Christ 
So Paul lets the Corinth and us take our focus off the problem 
To look at the Name that is above all names
Jesus, Jesus forever faithful 
Forever the same

The Lord reigns
Let the whole earth rejoices
Clouds and darkness surrounds Him
Righteousness and Justice are the foundation of His throne
Fire goes before Him 
And its burns up all His enemy around
The Lord reigns
