90:
'The Lord is my strength and my song,
And He has become my salvation;
This is my God, and I will praise Him;
My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.
The Lord is a warrior;
The Lord is His name. 'Exodus 15:2-3 AMP
Sing to the Lord
For He has triumphed over sin and death
Death is swallowed up in victory
We stand in the victory of the Lord
The battle is won and our victory is in the Lord
Jesus Christ
Come let us praise His Holy Name
The redeemer of our soul
We stand firm on a rock that never moves
Even in the storm it is stronger and immovable
Our voices are sweet melody to the Lord
The angels join in the praises to the Lord
We stand because our identity is found in Him
And that our labour is not in vain in the Lord
We give thanks to God, who has given us victory
Through Christ Jesus
Teach me Your way, O LORD;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.
I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart,
And I will glorify Your Name forevermore
For great is Your mercy toward me,
And You have delivered my soul from the depts of Sheol
Psalm 86:11-13
Welcome to the vault, hope you had a very good weekend. My weekend was good and on Sunday we started a new series which is based on Peter’s letter.
It got me thinking:
Dear lovely people,
May Grace and Peace be multiplied to you.
It got me thinking:
We have gone from letters to now emails.
I do get to write emails to other colleagues and also clients and customers. Our way of communication to others and sometimes these can be misinterpreted and secondly emotionless.
Sometimes we can forget that another person reads that email. Do we think about how we want them to read the emails? If that was me, how would I want to receive this email?
Not to forget we are bombarded with so many emails that do us no good.
Follow me to the vault, for we are to check out one of the electronic forms of communications.
Electronic mails (or emails or e-mails) we have come a long way and advanced in writing letters to others.
According to Wikipedia: E-mails is a method of exchanging messages between people using electronic devices.
Emails came at the right time when physical mails could not be received and it is a medium to receive messages
The term electronic mail has been in use with its modern meaning since 1975, and variations of the shorter E-mail have been in use since 1979
As I taught about the message from Peter.
Meditating on the words and pondering on how Peter who walked with Jesus, slept, ate, argued with Jesus. Wrote a letter.
The style of the letter has not changed.
We start with greetings and then the message and a conclusion with a bye.
Sometimes emails can be overwhelming with lots of things that I really don’t want to see. I am glad we have spam emails inbox but sometimes some do bypass.
We receive some that are frauds that look to do anything to defraud us from our money or even our identity.
It is good to have filters but it is also good to be aware that not all emails are good for us.
I sit and think, did receiving letters have so much securities
How times do change?
Does it get better or worst ?
It might depend on your perspective
Emails are a lot quicker and also it does not depend on both of you the receiver and sender to be online at the same time
It also means you can send to a lot of people at one time only.
When it comes to saving the environment, we will have to take into account the devices that send and read the emails.
So I listen to the sermon on Peter and meditate on all that I have heard.
Praised be to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
By His boundless mercy we have been born again
To an ever-living hope through the resurrection of our
Lord Jesus Christ from the dead.
Lord, You have been favourable to us
You have forgotten the iniquity of Your people
You have covered all our sins
You have taken away all Your wrath
Lord, restore to us the Joy of Your salvation
'I lay down and slept [safely];
I awakened, for the Lord sustains me.
I will not be intimidated or afraid of the ten thousands
Who have set themselves against me all around. '
Psalms 3:5-6 AMP
David gives me hope, if he can sleep so can I. For my God sustains me and Jesus has rescued us from sin and death.
Grace to you and peace from the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And I hope you have a good sleep this weekend.
What a week?
It has been cold and I am also learning a lot.
I never used to understand the concept of Corinthians, well I don’t think I do now anyway. Learning to read the Bible from God’s eyes and what He is saying and not making it about me.
The Bible is worth learning if the enemy can do anything to take away the word of God and create multiples of counterfeit then it is worth investing our lives in it. Because it is very valuable.
As I come to the end of 1 Corithians chapter 14: it becomes clear: this is about the Corithians and Paul receiving a letter and then responding to the letter.
It gives us a lamp that lights the path so we don’t make the same mistakes but learn from it.
Spiritual Self indulgence is not the goal
It is a monstrous evil
It shows it ugly head in the church
For it must come to fed always
It is never there to be edify
It is never there to give to others
So one must kill it
As Paul continues to teach the Corinthians, one truly have to look at Jesus
The wind and wave obey Him
We all have a choice
The word of God is not written to disrupt the body
The word of God is not written to cause confusion
The beauty about God
Is allowing us to ask questions
'All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration]
and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin],
for correction [of error and restoration to obedience],
for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will,
both publicly and privately—behaving honourably with personal integrity and moral courage]; '2 Timothy 3:16 AMP
The entire church service gathering should be regulated
Not everyone should be talking at the same time
If everyone is talking then no one is listening
The Holy Spirit should lead our thought process.
And we are given gifts so we can use it and encourage the church to grow in strength.
Paul was teaching the Corinthians on how to behave in the gathering in the church.
Chapter 14: verses 34-35
Women are not in the church to distract….
We are women of God
Worshipers, preachers, teachers, prophets
We are are to edify, teach and receive from the body as well as from the Holy Spirit
With questions, answers can given at the end of the service
The END of chapter fourteen:
Prophecy - desire it and come in as a blessing to the church. Speak a new message from God to the people
Edify the church….
Speaking tongues - continue to speak and seek in your devotional and to help in the church.
There should always be an ORDER in the church - being gentle and listening to one and other
89:
'First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you,
because your faith [your trust and confidence in His power,
wisdom, and goodness] is being proclaimed in all the world. '
Romans 1:8 AMP
Sunset: Center Parcs Elveden Forest
Let us sing to the Lord a new song
And His praise from the ends of the earth
For the Lord Jesus, is the King of our hearts
He is the Great I am that I am
He is the Alpha and the Omega
He is the Beginning and the End
Let all sing praises to His Holy Name
And worship Him in His Holy temple
For the Lord our God goes forth like a mighty man
He has won the battle
He has prevail against His enemies
He is the First and the Last
Great is our God
And greatly to be praise
Great is our God
'for God [who is the source of their prophesying]
is not a God of confusion and disorder but of peace and order.
As [is the practice] in all the churches of the saints (God’s people), '
1 Corinthians 14:33 AMP

The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!
Hope your week was good.
An interesting journey this week
It is always good to come across treasures
That can be store in the heart
Let us give thanks in all things
My soul let us praise the Lord
For His mercy is new every morning
And His favour is for life
Weeping may endure for a night
But joy comes in the morning
Oh how I love the Lord
For He has set me free
One of the many things that struck me is
“We are the Church” -
A light that can never be taken out
A mountain may be removed
The hills may shake
But the loving kindness may not be removed from you
Nor will my covenant of peace be shaken
Says the Lord who has compassion on you
Isaiah 54:10
Out of the compassion of God, I can study His word
Out of the compassion of God, I have a job
Favour is everywhere because of the compassion of God.
So as I continue my journey through 1 Corinthians 14:
It is not only the Corinthian but growing up, I too used to think that having spiritual gifts makes you more spiritually. But it doesn’t
God in His wisdom, gives the gift at the very start of your journey, or in the middle or the end.
Before we get to the end of the journey, we should not be child-like in our thinking, but be infant in the matter of evil but also in our minds be mature. And trusting in the Lord our God.
Prophecy and speaking in tongues:
‘Now, believers, if I come to you speaking in unknown tongues, how will I benefit you unless I also speak to you [clearly] either by revelation [revealing God’s mystery], or by knowledge [teaching about God], or by prophecy [foretelling the future, speaking a new message from God to the people], or by instruction [teaching precepts that develop spiritual maturity]? ‘ (6 AMP)
Paul reveals why Prophecy and the other spiritual gifts is essential to the lives of Corinth:
Revelation – revealing God’s mystery
Knowledge – teaching about God
Prophecy – speaking a new message from God to the people and letting them in to the future
Instruction – teaching that develops spiritual maturity from the scriptures itself.
Eager for the spiritual gifts but in ways that will spiritually build the church up.
This is counter cultural to our sense of knowing in the world.
The kingdom of God is not built on one building block that stands alone
but it is a series of building blocks to build up the spiritual house,
holy and pleasing to the Lord with the cornerstone
which the builders have rejected and now the chief cornerstone,
elect, precious, and all that believes in Him will by no means be put to shame.
Our goal in the church body should always be mutual benefits at the church meetings.
And if we are to speak in tongues then let there also be interpretation so the body is edified.
If you speak in tongues, then you must Pray to God that gives you the tongue to also give you the interpretation.
Tongues do not benefit the mind because it does not understand.
But it does benefit the spirit as it gets closer to God.
I tell you, the word of the Lord is a lamp that shows just enough for today.
Yes, speaking in tongues is also good when you are alone.
When you want to give thanks, pray to God, sing to God, Bless the Lord
for the enemy does not understand or comprehend the words.
It cannot be used as a weapon against you
It purpose is speak to God alone.
Tongues are good for the spirit as the word of God is good for the minds.
