"Your testmonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart." Psalms 119:111 NKJV
Grace and peace to you from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wow, another week has started and I’m very happy that you can drop by.
Welcome to my vault, hope you had a good weekend. For me?… EURO football started and I am a big fan of football and England won, shhh don’t say it so loud.
England played the first match, phew they won it and they played impressively. Well now, let us not get ahead of ourselves. At work I have two teams and I will love them to get to the final or be the first to leave the tournament.
Choices, cruel right. I want one of my teams to lose (to be the first out of the tournament) and the other to win the final. Chances of getting to the final are high and I will keep them close to my heart.
We can get so wrapped up in our games, on Saturday was no different. First, I want to thank God like everyone who watching on Saturday: we had the scared of our lives, the anxiety, the nail biting and just praying. One of the players collapsed on the pitch.
Not to dramatic but I think the world stopped for those long minutes as we all started to pray, not doing anything. I was in distress like everyone, and kept praying like everyone. Lord, You have done it before You can do it again. Oh my days, It was a relief that all was well, prayers to him and his family.
Thank the Lord, I love the Lord. Not because of that BUT because, just because.
Saturday tells us that it is only a game, and there’s more to life than football when someone is fighting for their life.
Spend time with loved ones, have communion and be merry. Life is very short and no one knows what can happen in the next second.
So I want to give thanks to the Almighty God sit at the feet of Jesus and know that He is Lord Lord I praise You that You always hear the cries of millions That You care for our well-being That You love us very much In Jesus Name, amen
The Vault calls and sometimes the treasures are best to look at, absorb, ponder and give a testimony of the goodness of what happens in our lives daily. Come and let us share bread.
Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name Give us our daily bread. May we always look to You for our daily needs and give thanks for the little things in life. In Jesus name, amen.
I had a look at Bread and wanted to share a little note:
It is very simple and basic which consists of a cooked mixture of flour and water most often with salt added and sometimes with yeast or raising agent such as sodium bicarbonate.
In the whole of recorded history, it has been a prominent food in large parts of the world.
Bread is one of the oldest types of human made food and remains an important staple food even today in most cultures.
It has been important since the dawn of agriculture, and also plays an essential role in both religious rituals and secular culture.
Leavened bread is made with a raising agent, the most common yeast which causes the dough to develop bubbles of gas, expand and rise.
Mixture of flour and water causes the proteins in the flour to form a network of gluten in the dough.
The yeast ferments the starch and sugars in the dough into alcohol and carbon dioxide gas which gets trapped in the gluten network.
The sponge-like structure of the bread is formed when the fermented dough is baked, and the heat drives off the carbon dioxide and alcohol.
Unleavened bread is prepared without using any raising agent such as yeast and is very popular today.
Unleavened breads was a natural development of the use of cereals to make porridge or grain mash. They can be made by simply baking the porridge or mash without using any raising agent to produce flat breads. They are usually flat breads however not all flatbreads are unleavened.
Bread in most cultures has a significance beyond mere nutrition because of its history and contemporary importance.
Bread is also significant in Christianity and Judaism. Jews consumes unleavened bread such as matzo during the Passover as commanded in Exodus 12:8
Don’t burn it : Acrylamide is a cancer-causing chemical that can form in some foods—mainly plant-based foods—during high-temperature cooking processes like frying and baking when it starts to brown. These include potatoes, cereals, coffee, crackers or breads, dried fruits and many other foods. The amount of acrylamide can be minimised by cooking food to the lightest acceptable colour.
